My BIL just went on this cruise and did it through the travel agent. He said he would recommend it this way simply because there is somethings they can hook you up with and give you a little more information. Plus he still got a really good deal!
I did a Med cruise with Royal Caribbean last year and it was great. The other cruise I would recommend is Holland America. Check out Cruise Critic for more info.

We've been planning a trip to Europe for the HM and decided that our best/simplest/easiest option would be a cruise. We're going for more western Med (Italy/Spain) as opposed to Greece, etc.
It's too early to book, but we are in research mode and somewhat clueless about cruises. Does anyone have experience with a specific cruise line? Would it be beneficial to do an agent or through a site like Expedia?
Any help/advice would be great! Thanks!
