Hi Bees I wanted to introduce you to Bently. He is approx 3 year old English Bulldog that DH and I are fostering thru one of the rescue groups we volunter with. Bently was owner surrender at one of our local shelters……so sad b/c at one point in his life you could tell he was very loved until he wound up in the shelter
He was tested positive for heart worm, has skin allergies and losing his fur. He also has a pretty nasty lung infection going on as well. His time was up at the shelter and due to his multiple condtions no one wanted him. DH and I knew that at 3 he still has lots of life left. His heart worms are mild so with meds it should all clear up. Also with special baths his skin should clear up.
He is on 10 different pills a day and special baths 3x a week. He is also on a EXTRA HIGH DOSE OF TLC b/c I am spoiling the crap out of him . I love this boy so much! He gives kisses all the time like he is trying to thank me for saving him from doggie death row……it is so sweet and he is such a little lover boy butterball!
We will work on getting him better over the next few months and thru our rescue work on finding him a forever home once he is of course all better!
Now meet Mr Bently…….
All of his meds
His poor skin
Him enjoying his new pallet by me in the office!

@weddingbound: Oh my gosh – he is so cute!!!!
You are such a sweetheart – not only are you completely beautiful on the outside, you have such a beautiful heart on the inside, too. I love people like you. Rescuing an animal like that is heroic in my eyes. You gave this guy another chance at life!

@weddingbound: How cute!!! Thats so awesome of you to take him in. Have you fostered before? I really want to, but I’m afraid I would get too attached and end up keeping all the babies I foster.

Thanks ladies….say doggie prayers for this lil butterball! Anything for the animals…..DH and I have been doing this for a long time now and have prob pulled about 30-40 dogs thru our different rescue groups to save them! We usually have a foster baby or a couple of foster pups with us! What can I say our kids have fur and 4 legs!
