Awh, so cute! You guys are so sweet to adopt him from a rescue, that makes me smile!
Oh hi Gizmo!!
I can't wait for my pug to calm down and be a lap dog. She is still in puppy mode.
Aren't pugs the best?!
@panterapeach: Yes! They are sooo sweet! This little guy is 6, so he's very chill. Just needs a lap to settle into, and he's good to go!
@tksjewelry: Thank you! We thought about going through a breeder (a reputable one, of course!), but there are so many dogs out there in foster homes and shelters, and we're so glad we could give one a home.
And hey, my avatar finally makes some sense! I picked a little pug picture when I joined weddingbee because I thought they were so cute, and now I have one!
@Bubu82: Oh my goodness look at that FACE!!! Congrats on the new furbaby!!
He's ADORABLE!!
Congrats!
I have a pug too :) They're great dogs. And good for you for getting a rescue. FI and I foster dogs for a local rescue.
What a face!! So cute! thank you for rescuing him!
hehe, Gizmo. My SIL has a god named Gizmo and we call him Gizzy goo goo. lmao!! I love pugs :)
awwwwww!! He's adorable! We also have a pug, adn they're fantastic. I have a few friends w/ pugs and they all have more than one. In fact, we're looking to add another dog (ideally a pug) and checking w/ rescue groups (our little guy was a rescue). He loves being on my lap, adn when he wants attention and I'm on the phone, he tries to knock it out of my hand! They all have their own personality, but be careful b/c pugs can be super stubborn.
@MissTX: Aw, Gizzy goo goo - that's adorable! I've taken to calling him Gizmodo Dragon because when gets to grunting and snuffling, he sounds like a little dragon.
@Missido: Fostering must be so rewarding, but so tough. I don't know how I would be able to give up any of the dogs after they had lived with me! The lady who was fostering Gizmo teared up as she was leaving him with us, and I felt so sorry for her that she didn't get to have him anymore. Luckily, she still has *five* pugs of her own, and two other fosters as well! Kudos to you and your FI for being doggie foster parents!
@ItsHollyAgain: I would love to someday get another pug to pal around with Gizmo! But since we're firsttime dog owners, DH thought it would be best to just start with one, lol!

After two years of thinking about it, we finally got a pug! He is a rescue from Kentuckiana Pug Rescue, and we have named him Gizmo.
Look at that smushyface!
He's so snuggly! He's sitting on my lap right now as I type - in fact, he made me move my laptop from my lap so he could sit there. :) Love him!
