The first meeting is usually just a “get to know you” sort of thing, but since he already knows you, there probably won’t be too much of that.  They other thing that’s usually done is that priest will walk you through the paperwork, but since you seem to be on top of that, probably not too much to spend time on in that regard. Maybe you’ll just set the date and take a FOCCUS test.

When he schedules the church, let him know that you’d like a Rite of Marriage and not a Nuptial Mass.

Since FI isn’t Catholic, we both had to sign our lives away and sign a legal document saying that we would raise our children Catholic.  I’m not sure if you would have to do that.  We were both taken in a room separately and signed some other paperwork saying that we hadn’t been married before or were related.

Good luck!  You’re lucky you know your priest, I was a bundle of nerves before meeting with mine.

^ When two Catholics marry, that’s not required.  Also, no one should have had to sign any legal documents.  The non-Catholic doesn’t need to sign or agree to anything.  The Catholic must promise to not defect from the Catholic faith and to raise any children from the marriage with full knowledge of the Catholic faith.  Ususually that’s just a verbal agreement, not a written or signed one.
