I do mehndi/hennas all the time

The longer you leave the henna on and dont pick it off the darker it will be. The more disturbed the henna is by activity the lighter its gets beacuse its starts to flake off.

I would reccomend having at least 4-6 hours free to just sit and relax beacuse the stain needs to set.

Less wait time lighter

More wait time darker

1-2 days before the wedding will give it the most rich color and look great in photos

Hope that helps

I don’t think that’s enough time at all –

I’m doing my mehndi two days before the wedding (On Thursday and then wedding on Saturday). But the like PP said, the longer you have your mehndi on the darker it will be – and if it were me, for pictures and stuff I would definitely leave it on at least overnight!

Hope this helps!

I’m having my bridesmaids come to me that night haha.

I’m thinking of doing mine 2 days before my wedding too!  Or at least I’m hoping to.  I want to also make it my bridal shower so I only want my bridesmaid, siblings and parents to be invited.  I figured that they are the ones who really need the mendhi as they are the ones walking down the aisle.  I was debating on doing it the day before, but I kind of want the day before to be a time of R&R before the big day.

I did mine three days before and had some of my bridesmaids come over and get it done too. We had a blast ( 2 bottles of wine helped).  I went to sleep with it on and it was really nice and dark for the wedding.
