lexmek27:  We went to Cabo for our week long honeymoon and it was awesome. Super glad we brought along bug spray and sunscreen because we didn’t have to buy it when we got there. I’m not sure of anything that I wish I would have brought…I’m glad we brought lotion for sun burns and headache meds too!

We went to Belize on a quick vacation, and the underwater camera broke before we snorkeled. I ended up being glad, because it was a really special expereince, just the two of us floating through the water hand in hand and sharing the moment. But, we’re going to Playa del Carmen for our honeymoon and will likely buy a new camera. Also, depending on where you go, you’ll need biodegradeable sunscreen.

Unless you are honeymooning in  a very rural or undeveloped location, you can buy anything that you forget. It may cost a bit more, but you will be able to get it.

We were so crazy the week before the wedding, that we didn’t really think through what we needed to pack for our honeymoon to St. Lucia. So, some things we forgot and had to buy when we got there: condoms, sunscreen, aloe, underwater camera, snack food, razors, a beach bag, and nice sandals (somehow my heels didn’t make it into my suitcase after the rehearsal dinner).

I always like to overpack. I’d rather have it and not need it than vice versa. There wasn’t anything I wished I had brought, and every beach type item definitely got used like sunscreen, multiple bikinis and cover-ups, etc.

Oooh if you’re doing an all inclusive though and you like slushy drinks… DEFINITELY get a bubba keg. It will keep your drink cold and frosty for hours. Any kind of drink actually, but it’s especially great for keeping the blended drinks slushy.

Another thing I like to bring to all inclusives is salty snacks like chips, nuts, etc and candy. It’s hard/impossible to find if you aren’t leaving the resort much. I love to munch on stuff at the beach.

I second the sunscreen & bug spray- it was pretty pricey once we got down to Mexico. I brought a few dollar store floats for the pool that I loved lounging in, and I brought dollar store plastic water guns for tequila shots (fun!). I felt like I packed way too many outfits- I probably could have been just fine with half of what I packed since I was in a bikini most of the time…

We got bubba kegs also & they were friggin awesome!!!! We tipped the staff more for filling them up for us versus a regular drink, but they’d last us a few hours walking around the resort without having to get refills every 30 minutes…
