Hi! I am from IHB, so very close to where you are! We're getting married in May at Oceanside Community Church in Satellite Beach, and the reception will be at Eau Gallie Yacht club.
I am using Eau Gallie Florist, and so far have no complaints. They are a little pricy though. I think I have a DJ that I like but he is from Winter Park. His name is Brian Scott and he is very nice, but I still have to meet with him before we sign. Our venue is doing our catering.
Who is your photographer? My colors are going to be green and blue: very ocean-like and springy. I was inspired by sea glass colors. Hope everything is going well with your planning!
I'm new to the Hive but I'm down in Palm Bay and just wanted to pop in and introduce myself.
I haven't even made it to other parts of wedding planning because I'm still struggling to settle on a venue. I've turned over every rock and looked in every corner I could find but nothing has felt right just yet. We're looking for an outdoor ceremony with an indoor reception. I'd LOVE to go down to Vero and have a wedding at McKee Botanical Gardens if it weren't for their strict policies RE: music.

Do you have any good ones to share?
I'm not familiar with any caterers or florists but I was at a party recently where DJ Pedro Contreras (pedrocontreras.com) DJed and he was fab! I really enjoyed his mix of music. Might want to check him out, I'm going to be giving him a call myself.
venue in Melbourne, My daughter is getting married in March, garden wedding etc. We found a caterer Two chicks and a pot. The tasting was wonderful and the prices were great. They use fresh and in season ingredients. We are looking forward to the food. They also have the buffet set up in ways that work for the younger crowd. I hope this helps. We picked the Melbourne Front street park for reception, still overwhelmed with decorating it so it does not look like a card room. We are using all greens in various shades. Thanks
hi all! I have nothing to add to this because I'm getting married in Atlanta, but then I will be moving to Melbourne after the wedding! My FI is already there working for Harris and I can't wait to be there!
That is awesome you are moving to Melbourne. Harris is a great company to work for.

Hi there, it seems like everyone is really in central FL and I was wondering if anyone was more towards the Melbourne/Beachside area.
I am getting married June 5, 2010 at Eastminster Pres Church with reception to follow at the Eau Gallie Civic Center.
I am still looking for a florist, DJ and caterer. Please let me know if you have any great ideas!
I am wanting my colors to be a green, brown, and creme with maybe a splash of deep red?
I want a very rustic, garden, outdoor feel even though we are having an indoor reception.
Thanks!
