I WAS SUPPOSE TO ORDER MY INVITATIONS THIS WEEEKEND!!Thought we were all set, NOT!!! We booked the hall through the caterer and paid the down payment and first installment so no going back and I started discussing that we are going to have our ceremony in the hall and BRAKES went on!! Caterer informs me that since the hall we rented belongs to a Presbyterian church we have to get permission to have the ceremony there. So the Pastor sends a reply that any couple wishing to be married on their campus must be married by their Pastor. We aren’t even Presbyterian and we rented the hall shouldn’t we be able to use it for both our ceremony with our officiant? Apparently NO! The Pastor will meet with me after the 26th of August to discuss the possibility of their pastor co-officiating the ceremony.
Now I have to scramble around trying to find another place to have a ceremony and my wedding is 11/29/13 so I need to find it ASAP and I can’t just do a park or something because I don’t know what the weather will be like and everything is scheduled to start at 4:00, now what??? I just don’t know what to do now, I’m out the money if I cancel with the caterer. I found two chapels that are going to cost me at least $875 to use for a ceremony and that is not in my budget, my invitations should be going out at the end of the month now I can’t get them printed until I know what’s going on with the ceremony and I am seriously flipping out!!!! If I ever earn or come into some serious money I’m going into the wedding business and I’m going to build a chapel, hall and become an officiant because this is the business to be in.
I have a couple of friends that have super uber duper grand houses that I could use but I have 225 guests and 90% of them are attending. I thought when we hit this number that there would be quite a few who could not attend nope even the ones that live out of state have already scheduled their flights.
YES I AM HAVING A TANTRUM!!! I DON’T CARE. I picked my venue because it could accomodate my guests comfortably, because it has 3 sets of bathrooms and a private dresssing room for me. This is what I wanted one location to set up, get ready, have our ceremony and the reception. No driving in between locations, no guests waiting to be seated or served, just let’s move along nicely one thing after the next keep it simple. WHAT UPSETS ME THE MOST IS THAT I WANTED JUST TO GO TO VEGAS, it would have been cheaper and we would have been married in June. This is the stress I was trying to avoid.
