A lot of my friends have gone off the pill and are starting to try and conceive (myself included – well, at least the first part). My period has been far from “regular” or “normal” but I’ve always gotten it monthly.
I met up with a friend the other day who really wants babies. She went off the pill late last year and hasn’t gotten a period since. In addition, she’s had “menopause” symptoms so she went to the doctor.
She pushed and eventually went to a fertility doctor only to find out that she is in menopause at 30 and will never have kids naturally. Her body is not producing eggs and it is unlikely it will be reversed.
Has anyone ever heard of this? I was hoping it would just take time for her period to regulate after years on the pill but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I’d love to tell her some positive/success stories.
