Hey ladies, does your FI have a blingy wedding band?
Does he wear it all the time (to work too etc)? Or does he have an “everyday one” that he wears? My FI is having a hard time deciding what kind of band he wants/likes.
This one caught his eye but both of us are afraid that it is too “blingy” for everyday wear.

@mrsbruff2b: My FI wants the plainest simplest band that exists. If your FI likes that one he should get it, but it might be more expensive in the long run because dipping it would probably be difficult if it is two tone.

My FI is so against blinged bands. It’s not his style in the least and it’s way more expensive. Plus, cleaning it can be difficult (not to mention redipping) if there’s different metals and/or gems. If it’s what he likes, then that’s what matters, I suppose.

No, my FI likes plain bands too… but he couldn’t seem to commit to any of the plain bands. That said, this one caught his eye… but he doesn’t seem like he wants to get it either.
I am just wondering how often other guys get/wear blingy bands.

My husband has a very blingy band (he is more blinged out than I am!). It is white gold with blue sapphire and diamond pave set in a mosaic like pattern. He got it as it reminded him of the middle eastern tile work and such he likes. He loves his ring, and it is his only ring – he wears it everyday and just takes it off for the gym, etc. He has said he would get the exact same ring again if he ever lost this one. He gets tons of compliments on it even over two years later. It certainly stands out! Is it for everyone? Nope, and certainly most men’s rings I see are much more plain, but he loves it and it suits him perfectly.
Oh, I just found a picture of it I had loaded. It looks much more amazing on him!
If your FI likes that ring, or any more blinged out ring, he should totally go for it. I honestly do not think it matters whether it fits other people’s tastes as long as it fits his!

We are not a fan of those kinda men bands we just got white gold w. a simple design (:

DH has 2. One had diamonds and one is plain. He’s a teacher so he switches them up. Here is a pic of his diamond band. It’s not overly blingy.

My dad wears a very blingy band. His has 8 diamonds around it, one for each member of our family (it was his second marriage). I love it, and personally, I think unless you get something like the blue band up there (which BTW is amazing.) you don’t really notice the bling. And my dad never takes his off.

I wish I could have talked my FI into something more interesting. He wants the plainest of plain bands.

@cirk: I like the idea of diamond per family member 🙂 my FI has 5 on his band so perhaps I should suggest we have 3 children so we can say the same 🙂
Here’s the link cos I can’t upload pics on the iPad 🙁
It is a lot thinner than it looks in the picture so it is very subtle “bling”

My fiance picked this one out:

My guy picked out a bling band! One carat of princess cut diamonds across the band it looks sooo good on him! He picked it out I just said whatever you want your the one wearing it for the rest of your life! I’m just so glad that he loves it as much as I love my ring! He is going to wear a plain band to work and his nice band everywhere else.

i doubt my guy will want bling. He has said, though, that he doesn’t want a “plain boring band”. He’ll probably end up with a meteorite ring or something with engraving.
While my guy wouldn’t go for this, I’ve always found this men’s band quite attractive. I’m not usually a fan of bling for men, but I think this one adds bling while still being masculine.

at first FI said he wanted a plain band because of what he works in but turns out he liked one with bling so we grabbed it but he most likely will not wear it to work just when we go out im fine with that so heres his and mine dont have one of his alone lol
