I think we have everything set up for our July elopement…except for his outfit. He doesn’t even have a plan and keeps telling me that he is going to wear jean shorts and a t-shirt. I know he isn’t going to do that, but it will be hot as hades at the end of July in Vegas and I don’t know what to suggest.
We are going alone and I have a short dress from Pricilla of Boston to wear to a nice chapel.
Also, we are closing on and moving into a new house in between now and then, so most weekends are full with packing, inspections, and his birthday on Sunday. ALL WORK AND NO PLAY!!!
PLease post photos or links of suggested groom atire. Thank you!!

Does he have any dress clothes already? We are doing a casual backyard BBQ style wedding and FI is wearing a pair of dress slacks and a silver/gray button down shirt he already owns.

Here is my dress…
He does have a charcoal grey (almost black) suit affectionately titled the “Marry and Bury” suit by the guy at Men’s Warehouse, but I would like him to be comfortable and cool (Vegas + end of July = ugh!).
What did your guy use that wasn’t to formal? Any beach wedding type suggestions? I’d be okay with shorts if they look good.

What about a nice pair of linen pants and a shirt?

what about chinos and a button down? I know that is a large range but it gives him the chance to put his own style on it ans still be comfortable and casual. Something like this:
Aparently the no sock look is in for menswear this summer.

Okay, so Jos. A Banks is having a crazy sale right now, so we went last night and got him this new suit for 1/3 of the price tag. I think the suit is linen or some other lightweight fabric and has a nice testure to it that doesn’t come through in the photo. Below is a photo of the shirt he wanted, but it was on clearence for $19.99 and they didn’t have his size. I think we found the same shirt on their website and I ordered it as soon as we got home, it is the Travelor Linen shirt in “New Sage.”
We lucked out and the one off the rack was the right size, but we have to wait about a week for the tailoring to be done on the sleaves and pants cuffs.
Do you like it? I think he looks sharp. 🙂
