I didn't do them personally but I hate it when I see "Menu" at the top of a menu card. I don't know, it just really irks me - totally personal preference though.
Do you have a wedding monogram or logo? Maybe do that at the top and then list the meal choices underneath it (by category).
Oooh i agree with the monogram/logo thing.:) Always good to carry a theme through I've seen some cards that state Menu but it was usually decorted so that "menu" was not directly in the center of the top.
I embossed a tree on the top of our menus with the word "menu" below it. The tree emblem is being used throughout the wedding including on the cocktail napkins & programs.
We are putting our damask patter up at the top of the card. I am wondering if I put a monogram or our names after or just go straight into the dinner selections below. Not sure if names and a monogram with the pattern will be too much. Thoughts? Thanks!

How did you start off your menu cards? I'm wondering if I should say "Menu" or our names and the wedding date? Any creative ideas appreciated. Thanks!
