Out original plans went out the window last week and we have been scrambling. We took advantage of having yesterday off and drove the 4 hrs to test out grocery store cater and it was amazing!! We have them booked and everything set and we even took leftovers home for the drive.
Heres our menu so far from them:
blueberry/peach/goat cheese crostini
smoked salmon platter
beef tenderloin crostini
stuffed pork chops
honey chipotle carrots
4 tier wedding cake
fruit and custard tarts
chocolate covered strawberries
late night snacks
pita and hummus
How does it look?

Are any of your guests vegetarian? I love the apps but I’d feel limited by the buffet.

I think it sounds very yummy, I’d eat everything! I think there are plenty of options for everyone

@Miss Wellies: +1!
I’m vegetarian so I would love to see an additional vegetarian or fish “main” in the buffet…. But then again I would have ZERO problem filling up on sushi, bruscetta, salad and mashed potatoes!! Love the late night snacks- I’ve never been to a wedding where they actually have them but I think it’s a great idea!

As a vegetarian, I’d be eating a pretty unsatisfying assortment of sides. Is this a concern for any of your guests?

@kestane: Are you vegetarian or do you eat fish? Just wondering!

@peachacid: no vegetarians Our only concern is no dairy which we have covered

@peachacid: Pescatarian- I didn’t specify! So I love the sushi idea.

@kestane: we our doing it at his parents vacation home so we wanted to keep everything light but know that people would stay way later than normal, they have a full wet bar in the basement along with a rec room and stuff so we are guarenteed stranglers and figured we’d need muchies too

My only problem would be that I don’t eat mashed potatoes and would be a little sad about only having a roll to go with the chickenbut I think that’s pretty rare and apart from that everything looks good.

Looks pretty good! The sushi seems a little out of place but other than that, I LOVE crostini of all kinds as well as smoked salmon, LOVE chocolate-covered strawberries, and your late night snacks are great!
