Are you thinking of a menu at each place setting? You can certainly go for it, but if you’re looking to save money I would just have one Framed menu at the beginning if the buffet and have tented food indicators in front of each dinner option.

@Klein2bReidy:  I had a buffet and I did menus because I was worried that my tables would look bare.  However, I didn’t want to clutter the tables up with decor either since I wanted my guests to have plenty of room once they sat down with their plates.  I actually made my menus with leftover materials from making my invites, then I designed and printed them at home which was super cost effective.

I’m doing this. I didn’t want to pay for servers and such, but I like the way a place setting looks. We’re renting chargers and napkins and tucking a menu into the napkin. It’ll just show the food & drink offerings. I think it’ll really add to the tables.

@Klein2bReidy:  Menus are nice, but it was something we cut. In all honesty, it doesn’t matter to many people. They select food with their eyes. As far as decor, they look pretty when you walk in, but make the tables look cluttered after the food is served. All of them sit to the side. Just my two cents.

@Klein2bReidy:  Thanks 🙂  It added a bit of color to the place settings since the plates were up by the buffet, plus chargers are crazy expensive (I was a super cheap, penny pincher when it came to decor lol).  I think if I actually had to pay for menus, I would’ve probably skipped them, however mine were basically free.

@Klein2bReidy:  I’m going to do a chalkboard menue for the buffet like so…

Like @housebee: I’m concerned about the tables being bare as well so I’m doing a doily place setting with “Thank You” stamped in the middle and asking that the glassware, and stemware be put on the table. Like so…

@housebee:  How much did you wedding cost totally, if you don’t mind me asking? Every time I read you’re replies, I’m so impressed with the amount of things you did yourself.
