I designed my own invites and had them letterpressed at Mercurio Brothers. They were amazing. I have attached a few pics below. They have a nice deep imprint. I found their website a bit confusing but the costumer service woman I worked with over e-mail was great. When there was a problem with my original file I sent, she let me know right away. I decided to have a proof sent to us because it was hard to decide on the green color and I could not find a pantone color wheel anywhere (I was in Alaska at the time for work) but if you find a color wheel they will match the color you choose exactly. I used the somerset soft white 300 g paper and the natural white strathmore envelopes. My only suggestion would be to get a thicker paper if you are going to do postcards because the imprint can show through on the otherside.
I believe it took 3 weeks from ordering them to them being delivered! Also, hey gave me a ton of extras, like 50 more of each thing than I ordered!
Let me know if you want more pics (like of the envelopes). Mine looked the exact same color to me and I forgot they were from different companies until I just pulled up my old order.
i used Mercurio Bros and had a great experience (for a full read you can look at my blog - link on my profile)
I designed my own, had no problem with the somerset paper and the envelopes match just fine. My #1 suggestion is to look at a Pantone color swatch - then you know what color ink you got.
My ordered was ready to the day they told me it would! GREAT customer service.
Such a big help! Both you girls have gorgeous invites... it makes me feel so much better about using them. Mercurio's website is definitely old school, which is fine, but I just wanted reassurance that other normal people are happy with the end result, too.
I'm going to try to find a pantone color wheel tomorrow... I went to Kinko's, but they looked at me like I'd lost my mind when I asked if I could look at their swatch book.
Carbon Girl, if it's not too much trouble, can I see your envelopes, too? How did you submit that design? Do I just design on the 3.5 x 5 card dimensions that I want the envelope to be and then drop my address across the top portion? I didn't see anywhere on Mercurio's website to download envelope templates... That's the only thing that's holding me up design-wise...
Thanks, again!!
I designed my own simple black and white design using a fine script font and Mercurio did a great job. We ordered 60 and wound up with about 72.
We had ours done on Lettra. They have Lettra, it's just not on their website. They charge the Somerset price for Lettra.
When we had ours done they emailed me and told me it would ship two weeks later, and it shipped exactly two weeks later.
Hi All,
Want to see if you had used Mercurio brothers, did you use your own design OR did Mercurio brothers design it for you. And if Mercurio brothers designed the suites for you, how did it go?
They quoted me some great prices for an invitation suite design and I'd love to go with them but want to do see if other bees have had them designed their invitations
Thanks!!

Hi ipoel! I can't speak to the design, but hopefully one of the other bees will chime in. I did get paper samples from them and thought some were a little flimsy, but that's only because I'm a psycho. Our invites were nearly the weight of cardboard... so that might not be necessary. Have you gotten a paper sample kit yet?
@Uskadelig:yes I got some from them.. I know what you mean about it being flimsy.. it's not the thickets ever but it will do it for me..
would love to see if other bees have had experience with Mercurio's design work? I'll likely ask them to mimic a design/ prepare something. Please chime in... I think I will have Nicole work on the design.
Let me know thank you!!

Hey bees!
Stumbled across Mercurio Brothers printing yesterday on the bee boards and am hoping to use them for my invites. If you've used this company before...
- Did you have any hiccups with your order / finished product?
- How was the turn around time? Some companies give you a time quote, which is really their worst case scenario, how long did it take them to get yours to you?
- Which papers did you use? They seem to recommend the Somerset papers, but they have a different company making the coordinating envelopes... I'm curious how those turned out? Since they're different companies, how close in color were your invites compared to your envelopes? (I have visions of getting an ecru invite and a florescent white envelope..)
Thank you!!!
