I used them for my invitations, and I was very happy with what I got. Their prices are unbeatable, and I have gotten so many compliments on the invitations.
The only thing I would say is that they are not very good about keeping you in the loop. This does not mean they are not working on your job, it just means if you want to know how things are progressing, you have to call.
I placed my order by phone. I never got any email confirmation of the order or the agreed price, or the amount of deposit they charged to my credit card. I DID get a proof of my invitation for my approval by email immediately, so, like I said, they were working on it, they just are not so big into the follow-up.
A few weeks after I approved the proof, I called to find out when they would ship. They told me. I also asked them at that time to confirm the price they were charging me and how much they had charged for the deposit. I did not get a receipt of any kind.
I called on the day they told me it was going to ship, and it was waiting to be picked up; they did later email me the tracking number, but only because I asked them to. Otherwise I doubt I would have been notified.
So, if you are OK with a sort of casual approach towards keeping you in the loop, then go for it. But if you're someone who needs to have them telling you at every moment what stage they are in, you will be quickly frustrated. I admit I did feel a bit nervous, but whenever I called to check in, they were perfectly friendly and seemed totally on top of things, so I made myself take it on faith. It was so worth it: the invitations are beautiful.
I haven't chosen anyone for invitations yet, but did order samples from Mercurio Brothers and while they didn't have a lot of variety to choose from the work was very nice. I know they accept your own designs as well and they will letterpress them for you.
I just wanted to add my 2 cents here, for anyone looking up Mercurio Brothers in search, as I did a few months ago.
If you have the ability to design your invitation in .pdf format, or know someone who can, then I highly, highly recommend Mercurio Bros. I am super-pleased with the quality. The samples ordered from their website are true to life - I chose the Somerset 300 gm Velvet and my invite matches the sample invite that I had ordered months prior. I also had samples from 3 other vendors, and Mercurio's were certainly comparable to all of them (and better than some!).
They offer a lot of flexibility in terms of pricing - ie, if your budget only allowed for letterpressed invitations, they can do the flat printing for the RSVPs; you can choose to have your envelopes pre-printed or not. I ended up paying just over $400 for 125 letterpressed invitations in one color; 125 RSVP flat-digitally printed cards; 125 A-7 plus envelopes, 125 A-7 inner envelopes; 125 RSVP envelopes with no printing.
I will second what Nopinkertons says above; the person who worked on my order was professional and responsive, and I was e-mailed by UPS when it shipped. I did not, however, have any correspondence beyond the initial proof approval. It never ended up being an issue, thankfully!
I just yesterday received my invitations from them in the mail and I love them! They did our save the dates as well- my friend designed them in Adobe Illustrator, and I was really impressed with their work, and their pricing.
I did receive an email from them with my UPS shipping number before they shipped, but like others above, I didn't get an invoice or anything.
I'd highly recommend them, but like others above, I didn't need much customer service help, because my friend designed them, so they were more of just a printing vendor for me, not an invitation consultant, if that makes any sense?

I used them as well, and LOVED it. They printed from my pdf design. I actually had to go back and forth with them a bit over email because I'd accidentally sent them a reception card with a typo in it-- however, they were so accomodating and helpful. Everything worked out perfectly!

has anyone used mercurio brothers for letterpressed invites? i received their samples and they look good, but i was just wondering what your experiences with them were like. thanks!
