Mine had a built in crinoline to make it flair. I didn’t have any problems with it other than it being a lot of fabric to bundle up and cart around if I was in a hurry! LOL! I had the Enzoani Dakota.

Same here — my gown as built in crinoline and holds itself pretty full around the bottom (which I love).   It’s pretty heavy though and I’m sure it’ll be HOT for our June wedding…. oh well, I love it!!

Mine also had layers of tulle built underneath. Actually they were a bit overwhelming for my petite frame so I took some of them out. It’s nice for the skirt to have a bit of a flair but sometimes it can by too much poof, especially when your legs aren’t 5 feet long 🙂

I had the crinolin for mermaid dresses.  I didn’t even know there was another option, but this worked fine for me.  I was worried it would be hot b/c it tended to make me hot in the store, but it was fine on the day-of.  It was fine walking, just picked it up a tad, but often didn’t even need to pick it up at all, just kick out.

Oh, and it did have a LITTLE crinolin in it already, but I wanted it to look fuller.

I just rented the crinolin from the bridal salon where I purchased the gown.

This is the style I rented.  I was trying to find a picture just now, and apparently there are (at least) 3 styles–with varying layers of crinoline–one to three.  Mine probably just had one, if I remember correctly.

Hmm…I’m also wearing a mermaid style dress.  I never thought about needing one of these.  What do you think??  Here’s my dress.  This is the sample, which was slightly small on me in a few spots.

Thoughts?  Should I wear a crinoline with my dress??  (posted above)
