haha, it is SO MERMAID! I was thinking it would just be the shape but nope! Why can't you wear it?
Wow! This is a very nice and super unique dress!!! I like it a lot... maybe even love it (and I don't even usually like mermaid dresses! :P)
Our "reception" is in Sri Lanka- and since its post-wedding, its considered a "home coming" so I have to wear red. Apparently- its to announce to the entire Sri Lankan community that Im no longer a virgin. How appropriate- hahaha!
So, if you have any suggestions on red dresses with lots of sparkle- send 'em my way! Ill probably send out a post on this in the next day or so!
Haha! I had no idea! Wow! Well you are right though, that dress would be perfect if it was red! Can you get one custom made with that design but just in red?
I think I have my eye on a couple other dresses- I've decided not to wear a saree, so I need a dress with a major "WOW" factor so our guests dont out-dress me! Sarees are so unique, colorful, and sparkly- so Ill need to find something sparkly but with a wedding/american flare.

I agree about the pickups in the first link, but I'm not a huge fan of pickups in the first place. I like the second one but I'm with you on the site.
I looked at the site more thoroughly and there are locations that you can go to- so thats a good sign. Im a mermaid kinda girl, but I need something that will stand up to the sarees of my guests- I cant be the least dressed of everyone! I was going to wear a saree, but Im boycotting my MIL's ideas right now, so Ive decided to do my own thing. While there are red wedding dresses, there arent a ton- so I should keep looking- I really need it in my hands by 1/1/11!!

I LOVE this dress! It says on the link it also comes in pink/gold and aqua/silver but I don't know if they'd look as nice.
Thank you soooo much for posting these dresses! I ran across the Amara Royale, but hadnt seen the others. Im looking for lots of bling on the dress so I can compete with the sarees my guests will be wearing. Last night I learned that I dont have to wear red if I dont want to- its tradition, but a lot of people do what they want. So now I have a lot more options!!!!!!

I was going to get that EXACT Sherri Hill dress!!
Except everyone told me it looked like fish scales :( I love it tho. I would have worn it if we weren't having an afternoon outdoor wedding (sequins might be a bit much for the afternoon).
@natalila: The Amara Royale gave me chills. I love it! And it comes in white/ivory. Crap. I want! Must not try on. Wedding in 3 weeks!
@Camrie- You have great taste!!! It may be a little to flashy for an outdoor wedding- unless you have a sea theme!

I came across this dress today on my never-ending perfect dress search for our reception next January. Although I cant wear white to this occassion- I just fell in love with this dress!!!!!!
