So after reading the thread about really cool ideas from weddings that have stuck with you, Fiance and I have decided we would like to write a little personal message to each of our 200 (EEK!) guests. Originally, we thought tying the message on the favours would be nice, but then that means we’re dictating where people sit as we’re planning on having the favours set up at each place setting prior to the start of the reception. Alternatively, we could set the favours up with the place cards at the entrance but the favours are an accent colour and are really meant to be part of the table decor.
Fiance suggested we put the message on the inside flap of the place card – so the name is on the outside, inside top flap has the message and the bottom flap inside has the table number (where it usually is). Perhaps I should mention we’re doing standard ‘tent’ place cards.
I’m trying to decide (without having the place cards readily accessible) if this will look tacky or if it will be a sweet gesture. I’m also trying to figure out if there’s any way we could put the message with the favours without giving people assigned places at their table. I’ve attached a photo of the favour just to give you an idea of what we’re having.
Any and all opinions, advice, and suggestions welcome!
