- Wedding: March 2014 - Brazil Room
I went to Kinsley James Bridal in Walnut Creek and they let me know that the fancy dresses I loved the most were made all from the same brand: Tulle, and that the designer used to be a designer for Melissa Sweet (I’m a big fan of the dress “Fern”). They also said that he was going to be coming in to their shop for a trunk show and I could get a chance to meet him. Not knowing what to expect, I made an appointment and got the chance to meet him yesterday.
I had the most awesome time! Antonio and his entourage made me feel like the most beautiful woman that ever tried on a wedding dress. Even though I’m a size 8/10, I could fit perfectly in all the gowns they brought (no clips needed). They didn’t care if the dress was in my budget or not, they let me try on as many dresses as I wanted and didn’t care if my appt time ran over. The shop gave us sparkling water (and champagne if you wanted it) and little mini cakes and chocolates. Zero pressure environment.
He was so enthusiastic about fashion and even loved my tattoo. Each dress he told me all the things he would just love to do to the dress to make it custom to me “I can do this!” “I can add that!”. I don’t think I can put into words how wonderful it all was. My MOH was there and she said that she overheard them talking to themselves about how I was just made for the dresses they brought. 😀
I even got to take a picture with him while wearing one of his designs. Talk about being a celebrity for a day 🙂 Did I mention that the shop has a mini runway and I got to walk down it to be viewed by the designer for each dress? (:::dies:::)
I don’t have my pics uploaded, but here are some of the dresses I got to try on:
