@ILuv2TeachPreK:  The metallic taste is definitely a common pregnancy symptom, but I don’t know if symptoms would show up that early past O? I’d give it at least a couple more days then do a FRER- I think some bees have gotten bfps as early as 6 dpo? I got a super faint one around 12 or 14 dpo on a cheapie dollar store test. FX for you!

@ILuv2TeachPreK:  only way you’re going to know that you’re pregnant is a pos hpt. Yes that could be a symptom, or you could be symptom spotting, we won’t know till you get that bfp! also if you’re not due till the 20th, you’re way to early to know!

ETA: how many dpo are you? when did you get your positive opk? are you temping? are you looking at your cm? only way to 100% confirm o is temping.

@ILuv2TeachPreK:  well 3dpo is way too early for any symptoms to appear. I hope will be pregnant though!

@ILuv2TeachPreK:  I don’t want to get your hopes up or anything but I had a foul/metallic taste about a week before I got my BFP! FX for you 🙂

I’m not trying to be neg. nancy here. but 3 dpo is WAY too early to get symptoms. Your egg is still probably up in your tubes. Most people don’t even implant until 6-10 dpo. Yes the symptoms may be similar to pregnancy symptoms, but that’s because of your normal surge in progesterone

ETA: I have noticed that my boobs are ALWAYS sore post ovulation.

@ILuv2TeachPreK:  Almost on the same DPO as you!  I had it for about 2 days, but now, nada.  I haven’t really noticed excess saliva, but I have had lots of leukhorrea and cramping.  I will be testing in a couple of days 🙂

All of the ‘symptoms’ you are having, if you both are really 3dpo are NOT pregnancy symptoms. I’m sorry but it is impossible to have symptoms that early. I’m going to bet that it’s just the surge in progesterone. Increased progesterone and pregnancy share symptoms. It takes HCG to produce pregnancy symptoms and HCG isn’t produced until implantation.

Timeline for Early Pregnancy Symptoms You Can Feel
Changes occur in the female body as soon as conception occurs, but these changes cause no physical changes until about one week after pregnancy. From that point until the end of gestation, physical changes can be felt throughout the pregnancy.

  • 6 to 12 days after conception: Implantation of the fertilized egg may cause cramping.
  • 7 to 14 days after conception: Breasts may feel swollen, sore, tingly and heavy.
  • 7 to 14 days after conception: Fatigue due to increased progesterone, low blood sugar and low blood pressure.
  • 7 to 14 days after conception: Increased estrogen and slowed gastric emptying may lead to nausea known as morning sickness.
