@GearBride:  The first time it took about 2-3 months and about 10lb loss to kick start my period but I was bad. I would go sometimes more than a year between periods.

I just got diagnosed with PCOS and started taking metformin about a week and a half ago. I was the same with the OPKs this month. Before I would see almost a positive but it never got quite dark enough. I assumed I was just missing the surge because I was only testing once a day. But this month after starting the metformin, I actually got a +OPK! I’m not tracking anything else, so I’m unsure of what other changes are happening. But the way my doctor talked, she expected to see changes this month. She even set me up with an appointment for early March to take about Clomid if Metformin doesn’t work on its own this cycle.
