I’m puertorican and my fiancee is mexican-american. We will have a destination wedding in Puerto Rico and want to integrate both our cultures in the decoration while still mantaining a simple yet chic look. Any ideas in terms of favors, decoration, anything and everything??

My husband is dominican & I am cuban & what I ended up doing was having a spanish wedding (spain) which incorporates both of our cultures because we both have spanish ancestors! 🙂
But here is a picture of a beautiful spanish style wedding cake that is still modern. It is decorated with the mexican “paper” flags that they use for festivals and parties. But it still looks very chic! 🙂 good luck!

Perhaps some rustic spanish looking peices on tables. Make sure the foods are represented and keep the colors vibrant!
I also think having a pinata would be amazing- it can be tastefully done 😉

I am Puerto Rican, so here are my ideas…
What if you incorporate both flags on the centerpieces??? You know those little ones
Or, maybe name the tables as mexican and puertorican cities??
You can have pleneros and mariachis at the wedding (as entertainment not the whole night)
And maybe you can mix a match as far as the food (if your venue has the option)??
I’ll think about more things and get back to you 🙂
