We are thinking of booking out honeymoon in Mexico for right after our wedding in early June. The problem I’ve found witht his is that all over the internet it says that June is the rainy season. Has anyone been to Mexico (Playa del Carmen) in June that can comment on how rainy it was for them? I don’t want to be rained out on our honeymoon!

We went to Cancun this past summer. We were there June 26-July 3. We got in the day the tropical storm hit. It only lasted one day and the rest of the week was beautiful. I was so worried because I thought it was going to last the whole week and our vacation would be ruined. It was hot and sunny the entire time though, with the exception of our first day. Don’t be discouraged if you look at the weather before you go and it says it will be raining every day. It will usually rain about 10 minutes in the afternoon and then the sun will come back out. I hope you have a great time! Let me know if you have any more questions.

If you look at the weather forcast for Cancun or Riviera Maya, it shows rain everyday. It does rain everyday, but it’s usually a short burst in the afternoon, and a storm in the middle of the night. Of course you could have a couple of days of rain, but that would be the case of any destination. September tends to be the stormies.
Have a great trip!

We’re getting married in Playa del Carmen in late May and will stay through the first few days of June for our Honeymoon. I’m not really worried about the weather. I can deal with a short storm/shower everyday. It won’t last all day long.
