That's really neat! I've never seen something like that before -- what a great way to preserve the glass from your ceremony.
We had seen them before. But all the ones we saw either involved a) putting the broken glass pieces inside a tube, rather than actually incorporating them into the design, or b) something that was very expensive. (See this one, which is $320.) However, I found Enid Traisman, who sells fused glass mezuzahs on Etsy. I asked her whether she would be able to make one from our wedding glass, and she was very excited about the challenge. And it was only $46, including the shipping.
It's beautiful and very unique! I have so many Jewish friends and I love all the traditions. I am a Jew wannabe! I will save the info for a gift, so thank you!
That is so beautiful! I am thinking of making a picture frame out of the pieces of glass. It's just great to be able to have another memento from your wedding in your home.
What an amazing momento from your special day! Thanks so much for sharing such a wonderful find!
What a great idea! And I think it's so beautiful the "official" start of your life as a married couple gives way to a mitzvah!
omigosh I L-O-V-E this!!
I was planning on doing this with our glass shards and didn't know how to go about it!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
p.s. that is the most gorgeous mezuzah I've seen!
I love that you found a way to carry tradition through your wedding to your life together as a married couple!
So unique! And SO beautiful!

We just got a picture of the mezuzah that Etsy seller Enid Traisman made for us out of the shards of our wedding glass. I am very pleased with how it came out! She was able to preserve the mottled blue and white of the glass in the finished mezuzah.
