Has anybody had a wedding or attended a wedding at the Chart House in the Grove?
We are loving their menus, the bayfront setting and the reasonable prices (for Miami at least!) We used to live in the area so we know the food there is pretty much guaranteed to be really good 🙂
Has anyone had an experience at the Chart House to share- in particular I am wondering if they allow DJ music or not since it is a restaurant and all. We’ll give them a call soon, getting a little nervous, can’t believe this is really happening 🙂

Well we did it and booked the Chart House last week. Hooray! The catering sales manager there has been very flexible, easy to work with, and patient with us as we make our plans.
Sooo excited! 🙂

@kestane: Congrats on booking your venue! It’s so stressful trying to find a place. We are also planning a destination wedding to Miami, and I have the Chart House in the Grove on my list of places. How many guests are you having? Were the prices pretty reasonable? And will they allow a DJ? Any details you can provide are much appreciated!

We are also planning our reception from a distance, but since we used to live in Miami we know the area and it’s not as stressful as it could be. We are so excited about the Chart House, the food is awesome (if you like seafood!) and it has incredible views of the bay and marina.
Chart House prices are VERY reasonable for Miami. I have several friends from Miami who had their weddings in Broward just because it is cheaper to do everything up there. If you PM me with an email address I can send you the menus w/ prices.
We are expecting 50-60 guests, the Chart House catering manager told us that was the perfect size- any bigger and you start to get a little squished in the dining rooms. They do allow a DJ, but only in the outside areas (they have a covered main deck and a smaller uncovered side deck). Indoors they have music playing for the restaurant (we actually liked their music too, but we will have a DJ as well).
I’d be happy to answer any other questions you have- we obviously haven’t had our reception yet but we’re pretty deep in the planning process 🙂 Good luck!
