    Hi ladies,

I have seen a few people coming on here asking for a vendor or two, so as the South Florida board hostess, I thought it would be great to do a full vendor recap. This way, when other brides to be visit the South Florida board, they'll have an array of vendors to choose from.

Please post which vendors you're using for the following:

    • Venue
    • Caterer
    • Coordinator
    • Photographer
    • Videographer
    • DJ
    • Florist
    • Cake
    • Officiant
    • Dress
    • Shoes
    • BM Dress
    • Hair Stylist
    • Make-up Artist
    • Invitations
    • Rings
    • DOC
    • Other

I am getting married in just a few days, so I'll be back after my wedding to do a vendor recap, including a full review!!!!

@BeachBrideT:  Best wishes on your special day!  :o)

My wedding is only 5 weeks away!  Here are the vendors that I'm using.  So far, everything's been GREAT.  I'll definitely post reviews afterward.  In the meantime, if anyone has questions, feel free to PM me!  :o)

    • Venue: The Rusty Pelican
    • Caterer: The Rusty Pelican
    • Photographer: Party Time
    • DJ & Lighting Decor: Party Time
    • Videography: Party Time
    • Florist: I'll find out on Monday! Looking at Flowers by Tony and Anne Nouvelle
    • Linens: Either Panache, Over the Top, or ABCovers.  Going on Monday.

    • Cake: Not doing a tasting until August
    • Officiant:  I don't know!!! :( haven't looked, not many resources for non-religious officiants.
    • Dress: David's Bridal I think, final decision in July.
    • Shoes: Don't know yet, there used to be a dyeable shoe place on Sunrise and University in Plantation, if it is still there I'm going to check it out, they were great for my sister's wedding in 2005.  I plan on embellishing some satin peep toes myself with rhinestone pins/vintage brooches.
    • Jewelry: Designing my own- classes & some supplies from Bead Need in Davie.
    • BM Dress: David's Bridal
    • Hair Stylist: Don't know yet, I have two I like but their trials are so expensive.
    • Make-Up artist: Don't know yet, I have a couple of people.
    • Invitations: Design by me, printing not decided yet.  Will probably not print locally, there is not many options outside of gang run digital printing.
    • Rings: Hertz Jewelers in Coral Springs

Some other places to check out for DIY people: Pearls in Ft. Lauderdale and The Container Store in Miami.

I LOVE all my vendors so far, especially Party Time, Bead Need, and The Rusty Pelican. I'm nervous about flowers and linens, I hope I feel better on Monday!

  • BM Dress: can't make the final decision until I pick my dress!!!!! but they will be from David's Bridal.
  • Hair Stylist: have not decided yet
  • Make-up Artist: I think I am going to go to Chanel at the Garends Mall
  • Invitations: I made them myself!!!!

  • BM Gifts: pearl earrings from Blue Nile www.bluenile.com
  • GM Gifts: money clips from Blue Nile www.bluenile.com
  • DOC: I got a full package with Lauren Daversa Events so DOC is part of the deal!! www.laurendaversa.com Highly rec her!
  • Other: I think I'm going to order chocolates for favors but again I have not decided yet .  I was also thinking of making CDs with out favorite music on them as favors                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            There are a lot of things I have not decided on yet, and time just keeps ticking away.  Anyone else suffering from this?  Also, I keep changing my mind.  Think I'm driving everyone nuts.

I have a new vendor to add to my list!  I have to absolutely rave about ABCovers in Miami.  The woman who helped us was AMAZING.  She came up with an absolutely gorgeous design for us and her prices were half what we priced at Panache.  I would recommend ABCovers to absolutely anyone getting married in Miami.

    Bridal Beach Bride T:

I just recently got engaged and planning on wedding in Islamorada/Marthon or even Key Largo.  We are hoping to get married next year May 8.  Since it is so close to the weddin you are having we were wondering how was the weather and if the prices are better hotel wise during that time.  We have a lot of OOT visitors and want to be conscious of their budget (as well as ours!).  Any help and vendor info would be sooo helpful.  Also since we're in the beginning stages of planning would love to know how much it extra it cost to have vendors/stylists/phtographers come from miami down to the keys.

I'm a newbie on this website and would love some help from you or anyone else :)

    can email me at darylxlazaro@gmail.com

    Hi all Smile

I would love to hear more specifics about your hair and makeup experiences and suggestions. I'm planning our wedding from afar, and feeling anxious about identifying either a spa/salon or 'on location' artist and stylist in the South Beach vicinity...

There's a lot of people on here still looking for an officiant. We were married by Eddie (http://www.eddierodriguez.com/). He was amazing and people still comment now on how fantastic he and the ceremony was - people never really comment on the service do they? - he really was AMAZING! Book him, you won't regret it.

I have an amazing photographer vendor review.  Stacey of Ambrosio Photography is awesome! She took our engagement photos at South Pointe Park on Miami Beach and they came out so beautifully! She is part of a husband and wife team (hubby's name is Craig) and they have a studio up on Miami Beach.  Their website is www.ambrosiophotography.com and I can't say enough good things about them!

Hairstylist - www.alluringfaces.com - highly recommended, affordalbe & professional for onsite!

Makeup - Cynthia from MAC Dadeland. Or go to your local MAC counter, check out their work ( saturdays tend to be busy and full staff at the bigger MACY's, Bloomi's, etc.) and just approach whoever you like and they mostly freelance and can give you their cards :)
