Are they square? Square envelopes require special postage.

It also might be that because you are including other pieces besides just an invite it can weigh more then 1 oz and requires most likely a 61 cent stamp (2oz).

I would suggest putting one together and taking it to the Post Office. They will be able to tell you how much postage it will require.

I agree!  I printed mine at home last week….they look really good!  I didnt get the damask one.  I got the brown and ivory ones but they are the “brides” collection!

Oh I also ended up putting mine inside another envelope…bc I did a practice run and mailed one to my mom…..like 10 towns away it didnt rip but wasnt in the best shape when it arrived!  As far as the wording….I had enough room to do what I wanted but I had to use less lines than i originally wanted to!  I had to add the detail book with directions more info accomodations….things like that!  I actually used the brides thank you cards for the outside cover of them!

The first time I took them to be weighed they said just one 44-cent stamp. The second time, they said one 61-cent stamp. (I’m compulsive and made them weigh it again). So 38 invites went on the cheaper postage and two on the more expensive. It depends on the scale, I guess.

Does anyone have pictures of their printed invites?  I’m curious to see.  I am still deciding on the fonts for mine.

Windy City Bride – Here’s a picture of mine… not Damask but I used one of the Michael’s Brides kits for it.  Hope this helps!

they ended up costing me 1.25 to send each invite – definately large!
