Is anyone buying their invites at Michael's? They are only around 30 bucks and with the 40% coupon that is a lot of savings. Our budget is big for invites, but I don't want them to look cheap either. If you did or considered them, what did you like about them? What didn't you like?

I used Michael's invites! They are a great price with that coupon huh?! I loved that. We bought 2 boxes, and with the coupon, only ended up spending about $1.00 per invite, which to me seemed super-thrifty :)

I really think they turned out great. I know other people did too, because everyone commented on them and told me how impressed they were by them. Sorry I don't have a pic right now though but I will post pro-pics on here within the next couple of weeks.

Yes, we bought the BRIDES line as well, they are simple white pocket folds kits with a type of embellishement on the pocket folds. They are beautiful and we're going to alter them a little by using raffia to seal them instead of the ribbon provided. I think they were a great choice for us and a great price.

I'm thinking of one in the Brides line too.  It's a purple swirl on white paper with a purple ribbon.  Did any you not like the paper quality. It not being thick enough?

Hey there! We haven't bought ours yet, but we WILL be buying from Micheal's. I have already looked there once. We are actually just going to buy ones that are the plain ivory cardstock with envelopes and reply cards. We plan to use a tree stamp and some ribbon to jazz them up a bit. FMIL is an artist, so we are planning on seeing what materials she has in her stash before buying other things to do the invitations with.

We actually used Michae's Programs as our invites. Check out our thread:

I got mine at Michaels too.  Bought a pack every week with the 40% coupon until I had enough.

I bought mine at Michael's too (one a week with the coupon, just like you @SummerGirl21!).

I got the ones with the dried purple flowers imbedded in the paper with the vellum cover. Didn't really care for the ribbon that was included (to join the vellum and paper), so I bought some organza ribbon that matched our wedding colors (light blue and eggplant). Now I'm just waiting for it to be a little closer so I can print and assemble!

The savings on the invite (in my budget) is really helping to offset the other (numerous) overages!

My mom found our invites in the Michael's clearance section so they were only $10 per box of 50, and they had exactly 3 boxes for the 150 invites I needed.  When my mom bought them (she lives in another state), all I knew was that they were vaguely green, no idea if they matched my other colors or anything. I got them and they don't match, but I didn't care! One hundred and fifty invites for $30? Heck yes!  I also bought my programs in the clearance ailse, $10 for 40 programs.  They don't match my invites, but I don't really care.

We haven't really opened them yet but I bought two sets of the black-white damask on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. There was a 50% coupon in the Thursday paper and I used mine and my moms to get both sets. I really like the card box they carry too. I think my save the date magnets will actually end up costing more than my invites now.

We bought similar invites at JoAnn's with 40% off coupons and they ended up being a GREAT deal!
