For those of you that used invitations from Michael’s, did you have any issues printing or formatting theme? We have a decent printer I’m just worried about the final turn out. If you have any pics of yours I’d love to see! Thanks!

I used Wilton invites! The script font I wanted kept printing blurry, so DH just formatted Microsoft Word and the printer so we could print them from there!

@MrsN14: I used Michael’s invitations and only had a few problems, but that was mostly because my printer was kind of basic and I couldn’t select paper size. My new printer has done fine. I don’t have any pictures since all of them are out, but they include a website so you can get a template.

@MrsN14: We used Michael’s bride’s invites and then adjusted/added to them to make our suite. The ones we used were grey and yellow. Though grey is a lightly used accent color in our wedding, our main wedding colors are navy and yellow and we wanted to display those in our invites so we replaced the ribbon and text colors with navy instead of grey. Instead of the big bow that had come with the box we used a thinner ribbon and we tied a flat bow so that the postage would not be affected. We printed everything at home with no issues on our ink jet canon printer however I will note that we ended up using the regular print setting rather than the highter quality setting because the best quality setting made all of the colors very dark (the navy black and the yellow ink for the heart orange) no matter how I lightened the colors in word. We used the word templates given through the wilken website for everything and they worked perfectly!
Incase you’re interested we did our additional cards through vistaprint to add a little grey to the mix and we did the linen finish and loved them. The michael’s paper in our kit also had a textured, kind of marbled finish. We stamped the envelopes that came in the michael’s kit with a hand carved stamp from etsy, and we loved the yellow flap on the back. I will say though as I have read before on the bee that the envelopes can be a bit thin. We couldn’t see the invite through them so they worked fine for us but I know other bees have replaced them because they thought they felt/looked cheap.
Here’s our invites!
P.S. sorry abotu the horrible editing just trying to protect the innocent! 🙂
