Ive been getting facials and all the fun stuff with them since i was 16. Ive been doing peels (15%) for the last 2 years.  I’ve tried the microdermabrasion. Several times at different office.  I personally did not like it.  It made me break out more actually. however, I know MANY people who have been extremely happy with the results. You’ll know if you like it once you try 🙂

I have never had microderm done because every place I have gone to ask about it says that glycolic peels tend to work better (more exfoliation) and are cheaper. I have had a few glycolics done and the results so far are good. I have uneven skin tone and some old acne scarring to deal with. I imagine that if you skin is already pretty good to start with the microderm would work better for you.

@xx_ambyrr_xx:  Ooh, good to know. Old acne scars and uneven skin tone are on my list of concerns. My facialist suggested microderm for my pore size (yet another concern) but I’m going to look into the glycolic peels as well now too.

(Also mods, will someone please move this to the “Beauty” category? This is posted in “Dress.”)

I got it done and wasn’t really impressed, seemed like a waste of money.  I think a peel would be more effective.

@abby_mb:  I’ve had microderm several times, and I liked the results.  My skin felt smoother and softer afterwards.  I don’t think they were really long lasting results though.
