Hi Ladies...Just wondering if anyone else will be testing mid Dec.  I am on CD 7 today with AF expected Dec 16th.  I am going to try to wait until 12 DPO to POAS which would be Dec 13th.  I know there is a Dec 1 POAS club and an Xmas POAS club...just wondering in anyone else is right in between like me!! This will be cycle #3 for us TTC and nothing would be more amazing than a BFP for Xmas!!

I'm an in-between tester, too!!  I'm pretty sure I am ovulating now...well, give or take a day or two.  I've had two days of positives on my OPKs, so I'm hoping to hold out testing until Dec. 8th...or a couple days later, depending on when FF determines my O-Day.

This is cycle 6 for us, so I'm REALLY hoping for some good news.  Otherwise, I'm contacting my doctor to try to figure out what's going on...but I'd obviously rather not have to make that phone call.

I'm on the Christmas thread, but I'll join this one too since I will be closer to POAS mid December. :) I'm CD9 with nothin' fun to report.  This is Cycle 7 for us.

I should be O'ing on Dec 3rd but I probably won't actually POAS until AF is due on Dec 17th AND if I haven't had a drop in BBT.  I've found that with charting, I'm not as tempted to POAS because if it drops, then I automatically know I'm out.  Unless I start having symptoms of all kinds, because then I'm sure I won't be able to resist!

@bunnylovesbear: & @MrsFarmer:  Good luck to you two!! I am on CD 8 today.  One of my closest friends just found out today that she is PG.  Ugh..I want so badly to be thrilled for her but I can't help but feeling sad.  This was her first cycle TTC and it was sooo easy for her.  Oh well...hopefully Dec will be my month!

I'm a bit ahead of both of you...I'm on CD16.  I'm pretty sure I ovulated on Thursday or Friday...so I'm pretty excited.  My cycle was all wacky last month because I got sick, and I'm not convinced I even ovulated.  So I was thrilled to get some positive OPKs this time around!

I'm here, too! I'm a little further (I THINK); according to FF I should be testing December 10. However, if I haven't ovulated yet (which I suspect I might not have), that could be bumped a little later in December. If only FF and my OPKS agreed!

This is cycle 10 TTC...I need some good results for Christmas!

Just checking in with you ladies....Currently I am on CD12...according to my phone app I am supposed to O on friday.  OPK still negative (my first cycle using them).  We plan on BDing quite a bit over the next week to help our chances this time around.  I have decided that I will try  to hold out to POAS at 13DPO which would be Dec 14.  Where are you ladies at in your cycle? When do you plan to POAS?? I have my fingers and everything else crossed for all of us to get our BFP's for xmas!!

I'm in!  I should be 12 DPO on about December 12th, so plan to start testing next weekend.

(For those that don't know me, I gave up my obsessive compulsive charting/OPKing ways this cycle - my 6th - to just take it easy.  I usually O on CD17 and have VERY clear O signs, so I am just doing a lot of BDing and wine drinking this cycle and not a lot else - no charting, stressing, etc.  I have to have a lap - with an HSG - for a probable endo diagnosis in February and will be on vacation for a lot of December and most of January, so I am just taking it easy until the lap.  After that, my husband goes in for an SA and we get serious again.)

I'm 7 DPO today and AF is due on Dec. 8th, so I'm in!

Not too optimistic though, O'ing at my parents house over Thanksgiving didn't give us much opportunity. Here's to hoping that one little spermy made it!

    Good luck ladies!

i'm not too optimistic as i have a diagnosis of unexplained infertility. right now i'm 7 DPO but since i have abnormally long cycles, AF isn't due until the 10th{ish}. best of luck to everyone!

Yay!  This is the exciting part of my cycle.  I'm at CD20 today, which is about 5DPO.  My LP is usually 13 days, so I'm almost halfway through my TTW.  I'm planning to test on Friday morning, which I know is super early, but I'm going out with some girls from work and there's going to be drinking involved, so I just want to do an early test in case anything shows up.  If that's negative, then I'm going to wait until Monday (or later) to test again.

I can't believe that I didn't join this thread. AF is due on Dec. 14th for me. I'm determined to not read into anything this month. I won't even test until the Tuesday before AF is due at this point. I over tested last month and it caused a lot of heartache.

@carrieknitscake:  I'm with you this month!  After a crushing AF last month I decided this month that I won't be looking into any 'symptoms'.  I'll just assume I'm not til AF is late :)  I hope I'm able to stick to that!

@ecomaha: Yep, I'm thinking that it's the best way to approach it. I'm really trying hard not to read into my breasts hurting and all of the time right now as well still having some CM though I'm post ovulation. These are the two weird things I've noticed about this cycle so far. I need to be distracted with Christmas knitting right now and a party on Tuesday I'm hosting.

I instituted a new drinking rule for myself. I only drink during AF, after that nothing. I figure it helps with the sadness of starting a new cycle over again and cuts down on the drinking in general.

@carrieknitscake:   Yes, keeping busy, at least for me, is key!  I'm glad it's the holidays right now and there is plenty to do!  However, I'm actually going the oppostite way with drinking :)  After being a stickler about drinking for me and my poor husband the last few months, I've decided this month to just do whatever we would normally do.  Too much speculation for me never helps :)

I was even thinking a glass a day during the TWW sounded pretty good ;)

I'm in. I'm on CD21 today, 5DPO based on the CBEFM's little egg drop. I'm trying to not test until December 10, which is 14DPO. I don't really know when to expect AF because she's been a little flightly lately. The latest I might expect her is December 12, but I don't think I can wait that long.

@ecomaha: Yeah, for me, it's just a personal choice. I feel like AF is the cut loose time because I know that there's no chance in pregnant at that time. It makes AF easier on me. I've noticed that since we've started TTC, both of us have been drinking less in general. I even have him drinking a natural diet soda which he both likes and slightly guilts himself into drinking because it's better than the chemical heavy stuff. I also switched us last night to a healthy whipped butter and butter sub (Nature's Choice, I believe) instead of margarine. I felt like we were pumping ourselves full of bad stuff with it, so switching it up a bit for both of our health sake.

I'd really love some sushi right now. I haven't had it in so long! It's part a TTC thing and part just not going out for it. Tonight, I'm having an Italian beef sandwich! I'm way too excited for it!

    Hi Ladies!

I hope it's okay if I join in. This is our 4th cycle TTC and I should be Oing anytime now, today I think! AF is due on December 19, although I'm hoping not to see her face. I usually just lurk and not post but for my own sanity I think I need to talk with some girls who understand!

@FutureMrsHCanada:  Oh my!   You're almost exactly the same as me, waiting to see my temp spike and then AF is 'scheduled' for the 19th.  Hopefully neither of us see her nasty face this month!  GOOD LUCK TO US BOTH!!  :)

Oh and this is our 4th cycle too!

Alright, I am in! CD 12 right now, O is just around the corner.  Period is projected around the 17th-18th, although the progesterone has lengthened my cycle a little bit so it might be more like the 20-21st.

@ecomaha: yay, date twins!! fingers crossed for you too :)

I took my temp this morning and it was 97.9, which is what it was yesterday (I would have thought that it would have gone up, since I think I'm ovulating/about to). So then I took it again (which I know I know, is a bad idea!) and it wa 98.1...I'm guessing I shoudl go with the first temp, right?

It's so great to see so many ladies joining this board!! I am hanging out at CD14...AF is expected on Dec 16.  This is my first month using OPK... I still have not gotten a positve reading on it.  My ovulation app says that I should O tomorrow.  I am worried that I have not gotten the 'happy face' yet! Anyone else using OPK this cycle...if so what CD do you usually get a positive reading on it?  If no BFP this cycle, I will begin logging temps next month...although I worry that will make me even crazier about TTC than I am now.

I am very optimistic that this board is going to produce alot of BFP's...just in time for xmas!

Soo...I'm hoping I'm not jnxing myself, but here's the story of my morning.

So I randomly woke up at 4am last night (this morning?) with a bit of a bloated bellyache and a full bladder. I was planning to test thing morning because I'm heading out with the girls tonight, and although I'm only 7DPO, I wanted a little peace of mind to have a glass of wine or two. Well, I POAS, BFN.

Then, when I woke up again, this time at my regular 7am, I decided, what the heck, I'll test again. And hopefully I'm not totally jumping the gun here, but I SWEAR I saw a faint line. So I fished through the trash, so I could compare to my 4am test, and they were definitely different. Eeee!

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, and I had to rush out the door this morning, so I don't have a photo to share. I have a really busy night, so I won't even be able to upload anything after work, either. However, I'd love for everyone to keep their fingers crossed that I get a more clear line in the morning!

@misskittykakes: I honestly find that logging my temps makes me LESS crazy about TTC. It gives me some peace of mind, and I don't feel the need to POAS every day past 1 DPO :) It's helpful to see what your body is up to as well. I never get a clear positive on OPK's so it's nice to see a definate temp spike and to watch them stay elevated until AF.

Speaking of temps, no spike for me this morning really. Maybe tomorrow! I'll just keep that BD train rolling for now...

@FutureMrsHCanada: I'm just not good with logging temps because of my late bathroom breaks. My chart would look funky. So, I'm trying to take the approach of just go on with life and know when AF is supposed to arrive. I'm actually happy that it's super busy this month to distract me from POAS'ing constantly.

@carrieknitscake: I hear that. If I so much as roll over before I take my temp it can be a little off. I started to give me peace of mind that I was even ovulating, as my OPK's were always only half dark and I have no idea what that means! I find it kind of fun now though, (nerd). If I took late night bathroom breaks I think I would have given up though. Even a .1 difference makes your chart look whacko sometimes...the things we do to get pregnant!

@FutureMrsHCanada: I'm lucky that OPKs are always dark on a certain day. I haven't had that problem. It's just the getting pregnant thing. I've enjoyed this cycle so far without the need for external lubrication! I also didn't Mucinex it up either. I actually think it wasn't helping my CM. This cycle feels like a good learning experience of what we were doing wrong last cycles. Every cycle I learn something new.

@carrieknitscake: We seem to have the opposite challenges with our TTC experiences! My CM is great! I just don't know when to put it to best use... :) I was actually down in the States in November and I bought some pre seed just in case. I haven't used it yet though, as that's not our "problem area". We can't get it in Canada without ordering it (that I know) of so I couldn't pass up the chance to get it just in case I want to ever use it! I think next month we're just going to BD every other day. We're bound to catch it that way.

@FutureMrsHCanada: You put your CM to best use around mid-cycle in the days before and after ovulation. Checking the CM quality will help with that. Though reading CM is like reading a Tarot card. Since my doctor discouraged external lubricants and I had plenty CM during O time, we went without it. I actually wish that we focused on my CM in previous cycles. I wish that I didn't go all crazy on the Mucinex, etc. because with a little foreplay, we're lubricant free. My husband's still adjusting to it, but I like it alot more than Pre (PreSeed's external lubricant).

@carrieknitscake: Sorry, I know the GENERAL time of when to use it, I should have said it's finding out when I am actually O'ing that is the hard part! :) Hey, if you ask me, the more foreplay the better! Makes a world of difference! I am trying to pay really close attention to my CM this cycle....the things I never thought I would be doing...

how is everyone doing? i'm 9 DPO and trying to distract myself so i don't obsess about testing too early! all the "symptoms" i've had could easily be typical pre-period stuff, so i'm still pretty doubtful. just as a precaution i've been avoiding caffeine and going without coffee is killing me!

@ecomaha: It totally is tempting...but at least if I go with the lower temp that means I haven't ovulated yet, so I can make sure DH and I BD like crazy the next few days :)
