I've just entered the TWW for the eleventh time, and I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who is planning to test mid-January? I'm expecting AF January 15th...smack in the middle of a Caribbean cruise, so it'd be extra great if I got a BFP this month!

How about you? How many DPO are you? Any symptoms? Anything you tried differently this month? Are you feeling positive about this cycle?

I will be in this list, although I'm going to try to stay off it and pretend I'm not in a two-week wait this month.  I'm having my IUI on Monday, so I should know by the 16-20th.

    Have fun on your cruise!

@MrsGreenGrass - I know what you mean. I am torn between loving the support of a TWW group, and wanting to ignore it totally.

Good luck with your IUI - hope everything goes well for you.

I'll also be testing mid January after my first IUI.  Also might take a break from the boards because I'm already nervous about it and haven't even had the IUI yet!

I think that I probably o'd today or will tomorrow (+opk yesterday and today) - we're not really trying this month (I've been charting and opk'ing the last couple months to see what my body is doing in prep for TTC) but yesterday we skipped BC (not really sure why he decided this, since I thought he wanted to wait another month, but I wasn't going to argue). So not too promising with only 1 potential BD, but who knows. I'm expecting AF somewhere around the 12th - if she doesn't show by mid Jan, I'll test then. I'm hoping for a very low key TWW since chances are slim and I expect hubby to be ready to really start TTC next month.

Fingers crossed for all of you!!!

Count me in! Cycle #5.  This month I'm just trying to relax and not think about it too much.  I think the less I think about things and dwell on them the better off I am. Easier said then done though! If I didn't O already I hopefully will in the next couple of days.  I should be ready to POAS (again) by Jan 16th.

    Good Luck Ladies!

I'm in! About the 13th.... though I can NEVER wait. I have an appoint with gyno in 2 days to discuss options and I would be THRILLED if I did this on my own. Well, with his help too. ;)

I'm on this list!  I'm testing on the 19th.  This month is different because it's an IVF month, so I can't even cheat and test early, because I've got to do a blood test.  Here's to hoping everyone has a fabulous first few weeks of 2012!

I'm in!  AF is set for the 14th so I won't test until then at least, if not a day or so later.  Good luck everyone Laughing

I think AF should show up around the 8th or 9th- I'm going to try to hold out until the 13th though.  I have a bachlorette party on the 14th so I definitely want to know if I can participate in ALL of the festivities:)

Hold out. What's that? ;) AF should show up on 14th and I'll test around the 10th - if I can wait that long.

@SFreeman2187: I know, right? I'm superstitious to a fault and I feel like whenever I really, REALLY want something, I only get it once I "stop wanting it" so badly.  So I like to pretend that missing AF is no big thing... we'll see how it goes:)

Thta's funny - I had an appt with my OBGYN this morning and she wants me to use an ovulation kit. At first, I was thinking I would wait until I had my next period before spending the money but decided if I spent the money ahead of time, I'd probably end up pregnant before I got to use it.

@SFreeman2187: haha, that's funny, I thought the same thing when I bought pre-seed to use next month.

Have you been trying for awhile? I went for my annual exam this morning and talked to the nurse midwife about TTC. She told me to try for awhile before temping and opk'ing. Little does she know I've already been doing both and plan to ignore her advice... I'll be 34 in a couple months and I feel like it would stress me out MORE to take a real laid back approach to TTC. I'm just going to keep charting/opk'ing and work hard to stay as calm as I can!

@78h2o: We've been trying since September. I have PCOS and hubby is up there is age. My dr says she won't make us wait a whole year or anything but has ordered Day 3 and day 21 bloodwork, semen anylsis, and 2 months of ovulation charts.

    From there, onto Clomid probably.

I seriously hope I paid for the appointment this morning and the test strips for no reason.

@SFreeman2187: How many times in life can you think "I hope I just spent this money for no reason"?:)  Fingers crossed that all of us get to spend on non-TTC stuff NEXT month!

Anyone feeling any pre-BFP symptoms? I've been crampy since my O date and irritable (but maybe irritability is PMS?)

@MRSLMA: haha, not only it is probably one of the only times you hope that you just wasted money, but also one of the only times you are HOPING for sore boobs, gas, constipation, etc!!! :)

So far I have no symtoms, but I am only 2 days since O, according to FF.

I've had gas cramp feeling. I have this thing about not farting in front of hubby so I think that's the reason I'm in pain.

I've got some bizarre symptoms this month, but I'm not holding out hope because I've felt similar things before. But I'm having pulling/cramping twinges down my sides, nausea every morning around 10:00, and EXTREME fatigue. I'm only 6DPO though, so who really knows.

I felt the same way about money spending when I renewed my Fertility Friend VIP access - I was seriously hoping that I would drop the money and then not actually need to USE FF for anything. Unfortunately, that didn't work. Yet.

I should be 2DPO but I had EWCM through yesterday so I hope to test the 18th.  This month I'll definitely be more relaxed because I became a Mommie to a Tibbie/Pekingnese mix.  He's taking soo much time that I don't have time to symptom obsess.LOL

Add me to the Club! AF supposed to visit on 9th & won't test until after if she doesn't show! First time since we lost our little girl to a birth defect last March. I'm ready to get back into the baby game!

I'm so ridiculous. I took a test yesterday for no reason and DUH, of course it's negative because it's like 9 days till AF. Just pissing away money... The usual.

I don't feel one way or the other right now as far as if I'll get a BFP or AF this month. I have a sore throat, HUGE tonsils,  and what feels like the beginning of a UTI.

I thought TTC was supposed to be FUN!

    Rant over.

Add me to the club! We think that I ovulated yesterday (this cycle has been CRAZY thanks to some theraflu and traveling).  I think that puts me out around the 14th for testing.

@SFreeman2187: So funny, I did the same thing this morning.  I'm going out with girlfriends for happy hour tonight and I rationalized that if by some chance I DID get a BFP, I'd know not to have a glass of wine.  Who am I fooling?? Not a chance it'd show a positive yet (I think I'm 8-9DPO at the most).

It's a bummer you don't feel well- UTI's are the worst, and adding a sore throat on top of it, UGH! Those are like me two worst ailments! I have been having "symptoms" this month but I am 99% sure that I'm making myself feel sick, tired, bloated, etc. because I really WANT to feel that way.  I'm expecting a BFN this month in all honesty.  I didn't you OPKs this month because I wanted to not be so "scientific" about it and just have fun- but I think it's just added more stress because I dont' really know when/if I ovulated.  Next month is back to OPKs I think.

@MRSLMA: A lot of people say that if you just let go, it happens. Never know!

I have never used OPKs but I ordered some and expect them any day. Dr is making me use them for two cycles before going to Clomid. Do you use them every single day? How does that work?

@SFreeman2187: If you want to be sure to "catch" your ovulation, you could start right when your period ends until you get a positive. I've been charting, so I only used opks starting a few days before I expected to ovulate... It says to test mid-afternoon, but my sister swears that morning worked best for her... I've heard some people do morning and night during key days if they want to be certain they "catch it"... I am using the Clear Blue Easy opks (seemed to be cheapest at Walmart)... I like that it gives me a definitive yes/or no, with a smiley face or a blank circle.

Here's my chart from this month if you want to see when I tested... http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/38d09d/

I missed temping and had some weird temps this month due to the holidays (travel, staying at my in-laws in a warm room, sleeping in, etc.) - so my chart looks a little crazy!

@SFreeman2187: I use them every day post AF because I'm just off BCPs and I'm not 100% how my cycle will be acting.  I bought wondfo's (cheapie internet ones) and they seem to work ok- like the pregnancy tests though, they leave some room for interpretation (ie is it there a line, isn't there, is it REALLY a line) I got mine at http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/. As a note, these ones are "dip sticks" meaning you don't pee directly on them, you pee in a cup and then dip them.

I might actually buy the Clear Blue East ones and use them if I start seeing a line on the cheapies.

@redsmarties: If AF doesn't show by the 14th or 15th (and no temperature drop), I will be testing then too!  I'm 6 DPO today and nothing as far as symptoms go.

What we did differently this month:  I used Preseed after BD and tried to keep my legs up for longer than I normally do.  I'm keeping up with regular exercise so that has been help me feel good.

I did totally the same thing with FF VIP--I was like, well I probably won't need it next month and here I am 3 months later with 90 days of my VIP already used!

@SFreeman2187: I use OPKs and I actually start testing 3 days before I know I should ovulate.  The instructions indicate that you should start the week of, but since I have a # of ovulation signs as well as My Days tracker, I'm rarely off.  I do test when I get home from work which has worked for me.

Also I don't temp.  I have too many ovulation signs and temping just stressed me out.

@MrsFarmer: Awesome - good to have a cycle buddy, haha. We didn't use PreSeed, but there's a new one out on the market called Conceive Plus - I ordered it along with my OPKs, and so far so good. DH made fun of me at first for propping up my hips afterward, but now he just passes me a bunch of pillows and doesn't say anything.

I've got fifty days left of my 6 month VIP membership...I'm seriously hoping that I WON'T have to renew, but if i do...I'll sign up for 6 more months, so that I might "trick" fate into wasting my money, haha.

@MrsFarmer: you use the Preseed after BDing, not before/during? It that supposed to work better or is there another reason?

@SFreeman2187: Those look just like the ones I bought. My pack came with Preseed as well, but it might be a different vendor. I like them well enough - all the cycles I've used them, I've gotten very clear positives and no evap lines.

    Good luck!

I'm 5DPO and should also be testing around the 14th also!  Oh ladies I really hope this is our month!   I've been charting for the past two cycles (but DH and I have been trying for 5 mths).  I am amazed at how little I really knew about this whole process.    I haven't done anything different this month other than try not to think too much about it.  I am also trying hard not to symptom spot, which isn't too hard because I have no symptoms to spot  at all.
