Hi, I’m getting married in 5 months and have bought the midgley and sottero Sharon, it was the second dress I tried on in the first shop – had massive dress regret that night and began to panic – nearly showed my boyfriend but luckily he wouldn’t look as I was waving it in front of him! I have been back to the shop and tried it on again and still love it – I have ordered the ivory. If anyone has any pics please please could you post? I have no idea how to do my hair / what accessories to choose. The dress has so much detail in it (I totally thought I would have the plainest dress) As it has a lot of bling i would just like some advice on what jewellery to wear? Any thoughts / suggestions would be much appreciated thanks 🙂

I just googled this dress & its beautiful!! I think you should go very simple with jewelry.. maybe simple tear drop earrings & no necklace? and hair should be a romantic updo. Gorgeous dress, post a pic of yours if you have one!

Thank you – I don’t have the dress yet, Its up to 6months from ordering it. I agree on the no necklace – the woman in the shop tried a necklace and tiara on me aswell – not a good look! So maybe just earrings, I want a veil but wasn’t sure about hair accessories. Can’t believe how much thinking / planning goes into all of this!

I say no tiara.. something like this would be really pretty.

I’ve got this dress too and having similar dilemma. I’ve got the champagne over light gold colour (cream). Also, I have a short bob hair cut and I’m 41 which adds to the confusion of what to do.
So i’m thinking of very simple headband or tiara and no necklace. I’m also thinking of removing the train as at my age it feels a bit weird. I’ve not been married before but I still think a train is a bit over the top for a hotel/evening wedding.
Any advice ladies?!!

it’s difficult isn’t it! If you have a look on google images I have spotted some ‘real brides’ in the Sharon dress and they all look lovely . I think a headband would definitely go and some earrings maybe but no necklace.
My wedding is at an art gallery and I was also worried that the dress wouldn’t suit the venue but honestly I think anything goes and as long as your happy that’s all that really matters.

Hi! I got married in the Sharon dress & just loved it. It has plenty of bling so you don’t need much in the way of accessories. I wore teardrop crystal earrings (Nadri brand), a silver with crystals bangle (also Nadri), hair flowers and a veil with beadwork & pearl. Here are some pics 🙂 I am selling the veil if you are interested.
