I saw them at a few bridal shows in Milwaukee, but didn’t end up hiring them because the price was a little over budget and it didn’t sit well with me not being able to meet my DJ.  It’s important to know your DJ’s personality, as that can make or break the entertainment for the evening.  As far as travel goes, you probably don’t have to worry about them being late, since it’s a big company and you can count on that much professionalism at least.  They’ll probably charge quite a bit extra to carry all their equipment out to Wausau though.

Wow that is pretty good!  And a lot less than they quoted me.  Do you really live in Kenosha, WI?  If so, I’m practically your neighbor… I live in Racine.

That makes total sense then!  Mine is in August during peak season, which is probably why they quoted me extra.

So cool to have another Bee in this corner of the state!  If you ever have any questions about local stuff, let me know and maybe I can help.  🙂

I would not hire them again. 🙁 They do use cds, and they put the live version on there. So when the bride walked down. The song was like “thank you!” and the crowd (on the cd) started cheering…a couple other issues too 🙁

Madison Mobile DJ was great though!

I have never used them, but I am having my reception in Wausau as well and am having a hard time finding a DJ.  I know that Wausau DJs are around $1400 right now…which is ridiculous in my opinion.  I am meeting with Kart Tunes DJ…but only because I won a package from the Milwaukee Bridal Show….ever heard of them or know anyone who used them?

We’re in Madison, but we’re using Bill from Double Platinum DJs (based out of Milwaukee).  He is a great guy (and the owner) and his price is not too bad, especially since they are one price no matter how many hours you have them.  We’re having our ceremony & reception all in one location, and he’ll be doing sound for everything, all day long.

@mrsawesome09: We are using Bill from Double Platinum a few weeks after you! He did my fiance’s cousin’s wedding last summer and was great!

@ashlee2103: Awesome! Yeah, we loved him when we met him…drove all the way to Milwaukee for it, hah.  Glad to hear you enjoyed him, because we’ve never seen a show of his, but had a feeling he knows what he’s doing.  =)
