We are planning on doing that, but wanted something just for them.
The traditional 5-year anniversary gift is wood... does that bring any thoughts to mind? Do you like a tangible gift (art for their wall maybe?) or a 'activity' type gift (can you get an annual pass to a local garden/museum, tickets to an event they might enjoy, etc.)

My in-laws will be at our house for Thanksgiving. We will also be celebrating their 5 year wedding anniversary. My husband and I want to get them a unique gift that will also double as a thank you for their oh-so-generous help with our wedding. Any suggestions?
