I am very picky and my boyfriend (of 7+ years) knows that I have been looking at e-rings and am trying to pick one out for him. I really like a lot of the ones on Blue Nile but I get nervous since I can’t see them in person. What I am most concerned about is the width of the band… if it’ll look too dainty or the side diamonds will end up minuscule.
Currently (since I have changed my mind several times) I have been liking the bands with milgrain & side diamonds. The ones I have seen in the stores (Zales, Jared, etc) are ~3mm. I am between 2 Blue Nile settings & 1 Since1910 setting but they are only ~2mm thick.
BN: Heirloom Petite Cathedral Pave
BN: Petite Pave Diamond Milgrain
1910: Pave Cathedral with Milgrain
I was wondering if any of you have pictures of any of these rings.. or if you have a similar milgrain setting & know what the width of the band is. Thanks a bunch!

I love #1, but I know what you mean about the daintiness. My first ering setting was very dainty and it really bothered me.. but I also have really long fingers, so I think that was the main problem.

One of my best friends actually just bought the Petite Pave one and had it shipped to my house so his (now) fi wouldn’t see. It was BEAUTIFUL. And I don’t even love milligrain usually. I especially liked how low the setting was. Here are a few pics I took to send to him (he was out of town when it came).
This shows the ring in the box:
And here is a shot I sent him to compare to my ring so he could see the height difference, but you can also see the band difference. Mine is 3mm wide, his(hers) is 2mm wide.
Plus, the best part of bn is if you get it and don’t like it, you can return it no questions asked!

I have no idea the width of my band…. maybe 2mm? But it has diamonds down both sides, milgrain details, and hand etching.
I love it! My fiance had it custom made by our jeweler who is also a family friend.

@CorgiTales: OoOo I like it a lot more than I thought I would. I think either one would probably be a good choice.
@lalalalauren: Wow that is QUITE a ring. I don’t think my little hands would be able to support something so *bling* lol.
