Any formal event I go to I rent a dress from here.  You get to wear an amazing designer dress (I always get a ton of compliments on the dresses I rent) and then you get to return it. Because personally i’ve spent a couple hundred dollars on a formal dress before and have never worn it again.

The dresses start at $50 to rent and go up from there, you get to keep them for 4 days and they send you two different sizes. I have never had a bad experience using this site and I’ve rented probably about 10 times.  Even one for my FIs military (Army) dining out events.

promgirl.com has really nice ones. they have a military category.

dressilyme.com also has beautiful dresses under the “special occasion” category.

@keo290:  Can you go to outlets? I my dress is a BCBGMaxazria and I got it at their outlet at Cabazon, CA (I’m assuming you live at camp pendleton?) it was only $50!!! I got a lot of complements at the ball 🙂

David’s Bridal has some really nice special occasion dresses actually and they are very reasonably priced!

Yep, I usually do DB’s.  They are rude if you aren’t buying a wedding dress there, but they have a big selection and prices are good.
