No idea, because my husband was in the Navy, but I thought the sabre arch was a cavalry thing?

My husband is in the military but not the army and he wanted no parts of it at the wedding so I can’t help, sorry.

MrsHistory-Bee:  You raise some good concerns. I’m curious to know the answer. All of the military groomsmen in my wedding were all officers (My hubby wore a more formal uniform than they did though).

I believe anyone can HAVE the arch, but only NCO’s and Officers rate carrying a sword and thus can participate in making the arch.
