Thanks so much for these links! I've already checked out your blog and saw that you went on your honeymoon to Sandals Royal Bahamian. We're going there too! I can't wait. My husband will ETS and then about 14 days later we'll taking off for the tropics!
Here's a great online community for those of you in the Navy or who have an SO in the Navy.
Navy For Moms (blogs/forum/community)
There are a lot of local groups that you can join on there if you are looking for specific information about a certain base/ship or just want to know who else is in your area.
I just stumbled upson another forum. I don't know anything about it, but thought I'd pass it along :)
@jesstagirl: Okay. I am a very long-term member of MSOS. Do NOT join that site. Most of the old members defected when it was sold to a woman in Korea who has no affiliation to the military. There have been some ridiculous sketchy things that have gone down on that site. You can browse for any old information of advice, but PLEASE do no post anything personal there. This is the site that the old members founded, it's fabulous. The site is owned and moderated by all military wives, girlfriends and fiancees.
well i have been a member of msos since last winter and it has helped during some hard times and has offered great advice...i just don't get involved with the personal stuff too much or the drama

Hey girls, some of you have PM'd me asking for info on other forums specifically for military wives/girlfirends/fiances. I found these sites during my husband's (then boyfriend) first deployment and boy did it make all the difference in "surviving" that time away from each other. We were used to being in an LDR, but a deployment is a completely different ball game and unless you're going through it or have gone through it, it's hard to understand.
Please leave comments if you know of other sites where people can go. Also, blogging is a great way to meet other military wives/girlfriends/fiances! There is so much support out there and other women who "get" what we're going through!
