That ring is gorgeous but I wouldn’t think it was a diamond if I saw it.

I think those are beautiful and would love to have one some day! I tend to like the even more rustic ones, like the coloured ones, gray or brown.

Look at the gorgeous example I found on Etsy. Look at that double halo of cubed rough diamonds! Amazing!!!

They are not popular, and not my taste personally (being a performance nut foremost with diamonds), but of course that lack of popularity means that if you like it you can get a great price on it!

BTW, are you familiar with moonstone? They are similarly milky but have a stunning iridescence as well…

I do think that ring is really pretty, just not sure if I’d want something like that for an engagement ring. It reminds me of opal which I love

@squishee:  I made a thread about “fancy white diamonds” in BTD and used that picture of the heart! I don’t particularly care for opaque diamonds, but I thought that heart was really pretty! I love how it looks almost opalescent…

Almost everyone responded that they strongly disliked the diamond, lol.

I’d never heard of these!  In the pictures it resembles moonstone or quartz.  It would be a good alternative to those two if you liked them but wanted something really durable.

I don’t think I’d ever get one, but it’s cool looking and unique!  I really like the ring in the picture you posted.

@squishee:  Yeah, moonstone’s gorgeous.  The iridescence is stunning.  The only downside is it’s relatively soft, so no MMA practice with it.  Smile

I didn’t actually know that was a real thing and now I want one.

I love that ring! I am generally not a huge fan of colored diamonds (for myself)but that is gorgeous!
