How fun! Love the emerald cut ring!

My husband and I went to Paris last summer and we ended up going to a “mall” type place called Galeries Lafayette. One of the floors had nothing but jewelry stores! From Tiffany’s, Cartier, De Beers to other fancy brands I never heard of and can’t remember! The most beautiful and amazing ring I saw was a colorless 10 carat Asscher cut solitaire at De Beers! Unfortunately there was a language barrier between us and the saleslady so I couldn’t ask to try it on and didn’t want to just take a picture, just in case it was considered rude. But I do still think about it every now and then, because it was such a cool experience to get to see something so incredibly glamorous in person!

However, as for a dream ring part, I am fortunate enough to already own mine. It definitely isn’t 10 carats though hehe!

@bethygrace16:  Yes! It was so much fun, but also made me realize how clunky and obnoxious I felt the larger rings were on my hand. I would personally not be able to deal with something that size. When we were at the jewelers, I had asked to look at pear engagement rings, and the man who was helping us brought out everything they had from 1 to 5 carat pears, then he took out 9, 10, 15 carat rings, emerald cut while he was talking about future upgrades and what they can import.

My fiancee is sitting next to me and he wants to mention that while I was having the time of my life, he was hoping I don’t want that type of upgrade in the future. lol

Both look amazing, but I have to say, you totally rocked the 10ct ring!! It looks like it was made for you! 🙂

ZOWEE!  Holy mackerel – that 10 carat emerald is AH-MAZ-ING.  I have to say, it looks pretty darn good on your finger too!  OH to be a celeb, right?!?

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I much prefer the top one. Both are amazing though. I can’t imagine walking around with that much money on my finger!

@bethygrace16:  My mom played a joke on my dad a number of years ago when she came back from a trip to the mall with an insanly big ‘diamond’ ring (it would have been about 14cts if it was real).  She told my dad that since he didn’t want to go shopping she’d picked up a lilttle anniversary present for herself.  My dad about fell of the chair.  She kept up the game for a few hours while my dad paniced.  It was hilarious!

Those massive rings are amazing to look at and it’s cool that they let you try them on.  I’d always be afraid that they’d run a credit check on me before I entered the store and turn me away!

@bethygrace16:  I was searching for big rings… and came across this.  I like big rocks, but this is C-R-A-Z-Y! According to the website, this is a legit diamond.
