OMG. That's INSANE. I guess you basically get many hundreds of thousands of dollar in diamond and saphire jewelry out of it though...
that's crazy insane, however the look could be achived with some cool arse rhinestones and crystals...
Eh, not my style in the pattern and overall design of the cake, but I agree with the news anchors -- as a guest, do I get to keep the jewelry that was adorning my slice of cake?! hehe
I second Amaryllis. Definitely NOT MY STYLE. But I would like to take the diamond jewelry, kthanxbye.
i saw the cake in person on saturday. it looked awful! it looked like a giant fondant monster decorated in prom jewelry.
Some people have more money than sense. It's really not that attractive but to each their own. Wouldn't that million dollars be better spent on something the guests can actually enjoy or else saved up for future use after the wedding?
Also saw that same cake on a different website and they said the final price was $20M.
.....
@cre I thought the same thing! Just get a bedazzeler...;)
$3100/slice...quite the cake!
Incredible. I wanna know if it sells!!!!
@bella...hahaha, awesome! how was the bridal show though? and where is Texas are you getting married?
haha! i guess it shows that i'm not a fan of fondant ;-) plus the way they had the bling on the cake, you couldn't tell it was real. when i think of a MILLION DOLLAR CAKE, i think of something that's so elaborate and beautiful that it seriously takes your breath away and leaves you speechless! this cake had zero creativity...almost like they made a massive chess piece looking cake and wrapped some strands of rhinestones from hobby lobby around it... then stepped back to have a look at it, thought it was too plain still, so they drew some scrolly things on it with a sharpie. i think the general consensus of the crowd at the show was disappointment. they kept blasting announcements about the MILLION DOLLAR CAKE on the overhead speakers and i was getting so excited...until i saw it. totally underwhelmed.
@sulli301 the rest of the show was great! i'm getting married in fort worth here :-)

I couldn't believe it either! I mean who in their right mind would pay a million dollars for a cake?! I'd be afraid to bite into it. LOL
@ bella - what a pretty venue!
thank you dancy!
i would hope that at least the cake would be yummy. i'm not a fan of fondant, though...mainly because if i had my way, FROSTING would be its own food group! lol!

Just saw this on the news - there was a Million Dollar wedding cake on dispay at the Dallas Bridal Show last week.
And I thought $7 per slice was high!!
