Okay Bees, I have a problem :\ So me and the FI plan on having a sit-down lunch reception in a local restaurant which has agreed to allow us to bring our own alcohol to serve. Since its going to be in the morning we settled on sangria and a mimosa bar as our signature drinks. Now the problem is this: would it be awkward having the mimosa bar? Like, guests would have to get up from their seats/food just to walk over and mix their drinks and I'm worried about the awkward shuffling about and possible bumping into people. I'm also unsure about the Sangria! I originally wanted it in a large sexy drink dispenser but that presents the same problem: people having to move around to get drinks.

    What to do?!

I've considered giving each table their own carafe of OJ and bottle of champagne so they can mix at their table but even THAT sounds awkward!

hmmm, maybe a big pitcher of sangria (with ice and lots of floating orange, lemon and lime slices) on each table and empty glasses.

For the mimosa, maybe have someone go around and serve champagne, and while doing so they can point out the nice OJ pitcher on their tables if anyone would like to make it into a mimosa?

I think those two drink choices are perfect and will appeal to pretty much anyone

I kind of like the idea of the station because it will encourage a little mingling.

I like the idea of the drink station.  I don't think it will be awkward at all.  People will have an opportunity to move around and mix a bit more.
