My 3 month old is outgrowing his bassinet but we don’t have the room for a full size crib until we move in a few months. But of course over the next few months he’ll be getting bigger and rolling over or sitting up.
Debating between getting a pack n play or a mini crib for him for the next few months. So confused!
Does it kill your back reaching down into a pack N play? I like the mini crib better because it’s higher, but then I love the idea of later using the pack n play as a playpen.

@Sunshine09: The pack-and-play is pretty versatile. It’s great for (car) travel. And now, I filled it with ball pit-style balls, and my 1 year-old plays in it!
I’ve never really seen a mini crib, so I can’t say whether that would appeal to me more. I get what you mean about your back. If we’d used the pack-and-play regularly, I think it would have been hard on DH’s back.

Love the mini cribs but we just went with the pack and play. We still have the bassinet attachment on it so it’s high up enough like a crib so I have no issues putting tiny baby down. Many reasons why we decided to forgo the crib and get a pac and play: pack and play has 3 functions, a changing table, bassinet and play pen so we didn’t have to buy three separate things, just one. the baby’s nursery is small and fits the pack and play nicely. It came with a music, vibration feature and also has a rocking feature just like a smaller bassinet, which a crib doesn’t. Also seeing as this is our 4th baby, we just didn’t want to do the crib thing again, wasn’t worth the money.
