I saw those little easels in the crafts section at Super Walmart yesterday. They were black, but you could probably spray paint them gold. They were about $3 each.
I don't know if you have a Hobby Lobby in your area, but I have seen miniature easels there, and also at the Dollar Store, believe it or not.
Hi! I have been searching and searching for easels that are both cute and cheap LOL! I was either going to get clear or gold...
off to ikea.com to check out what their options are!
I got mine at Michaels. They were on sale for $1/piece, and the choices were stained wood, unstained wood, metal, and plastic. I think you could buy the unstained wood ones and just spray paint them the color you want.
thanks ladies.
Sounds like Michael's and Walmart are the places to look. I'll try to drop by later today/this week. My florist is charging $2.50 for rental...that seems insane!
I would love to know how you made those numbers. I really like them!
NovaScotiaBride, they were designed by the same person who designed my invitations. I can tell you the name of the company, but they are in India. I also, don't highly recommend working with them. Our invites etc are absolutely stunning, but it was not a fun process (actually kind of painful). I think we were kind of a small client for them so we didn't get the most experienced designer. and it was all made worse by being around the world (and 12.5 time difference). I think a lot of businesses in India are still used to working more in person (in the end we did have to ask a friend to drop by and correct some final issues b/c they were somehow not getting my email communication...seriously, I printed stuff out, made hand corrections, scanned and sent back, how can you be able to fix this?).
I don't really know what software etc they use (I do know it's not photoshop). But I'm pretty sure she custom designed the motif based on my inspiration board.
Michael's has ones that are just plain wood, and if you are up to it, you can spray paint them the color you want. (they have metaillic spray paint in lowes or home depot).
Funny, I was just surfing for the same thing. Try these sites that I e-mailed myself.
bed bath and beyound has them. plus if you have a coupon-you can use a coupon for each that you would need to buy.
also check ebay if you haven't already done that.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I'm looking for something like these...but maybe a lighter gold. I don't really like the options my florist has.
Any ideas?
BTW, I'm also posting a (B&W) sample of the table number design. The number will be gold or purple (not sure yet), and the design on the side is either a shade of mauve or ivory as in our invitations here:

We're also using the same ivory card stock.
