Okay, so I have all my bridesmaids & MOH picked out…& we’re about to order the dresses I am also having a “second” MOH which is in fact a “god-mother” (catholic tradition). So my MOH & “god-mother” will have 2 different but very similar dresses, which are both teal with a brown sash & the other bridesmaids will have brown dresses, completly a different style from the other 2 ladies. I began telling my fiance about the dresses & he says that that he thought the MOH’s are supposed to wear the same dress as the other girls?!!? I thought that it was common to have the MOH’s atand out….Of course I’ve entered freak-out mode…..is he correct or does should I just tell him to worry about the tux’s…. 😉

@mrs.ball2b: Tell him to worry about the tuxes. 😉 I’m having 2 maids of honor and 4 bridesmaids. All 6 girls will be wearing different dresses in the same color. Don’t stress over this!!

All of my girls wore same color, same hem length, but different style dresses. I distinguished my MOH by her bouquet. It was slightly larger than the others and had a third type of flower.

Both ways are common, so dont worry. Do what you want!

You’re fine! Some people do have the MOH/s in different dresses, but a lot of people don’t, too. It’s just personal preference!

@jo.lee: I like both ways…but I like the idea of 2 teal dresses instead of 8! Toooo much teal for one church! haha. & I like the idea of them standing out because they’re so special to me. 😉
Thank you all ladies, I can breathe again…. 😉

Everyone in my wedding party are wearing different dresses, but all in the same material (green seersucker). The only thing that makes my MOH stand out is that, instead of flowers I’m having my BMs carry clutches which will be silver…the MOH will have a purple one. That’s how I’m making her stand out!
