It's hard to say without seeing the dress, but it looks like just a couple stitches would pull the fabric into a V instead of a U-shape. How does it look on you? If you don't like it I'd say take it back and ask them what they can do to fix it. At that point decide if it's worth the hassle. If it's a quick fix, sweet. If not, maybe it's not worth it to you.
In one of the July threads I responded to this issue... but just in case.... I think you should bring it back to them. It's a quick fix, and there is still enough time to get that done.
I'm only going for my second fitting tomorrow and won't be picking up my dress until the 15th, so I'm cutting it close, but feel comfortable with that time frame.
Better to have you love your dress, and they should be willing to do what you wanted! Just ask them :)
I'll try and take a photo or two of the neckline when I get home from work tonight...obviously not on me buttt it'll give you all a better idea.
UGHHH
Alrighty, just took and uploaded some pics (went home for lunch break) to a photobucket album - go here to see the neckline and dress now after alterations:

I would upload photos directly to here but the files are too big. :(

Honestly ... that is much better than I pictured. What does it look like on you? Does that curve complement the "ladies"?
I'm going to attempt to get it on by myself tonight and snap a photo of some kind lol
I think that my 'vision' was for it to be more pointed in the center, instead of rounded like that. What do you ladies think? Does it still look okay or should I attempt to have them change it?
I'd like to see it on you but either way if its not what you wanted, I'd see what can be done even though right now I think its pretty. I want my dress changed the same way so I understand what you say when you vision the "v"
I think it looks pretty but it all depends on how it will look ON you and what you want. So if you don't love it, you should take it back and talk about it and see what they can do for you. If you are concerned so much right now, you will be thinking about it on the big day too.
btw I looooove your dress!!
Alrighty, I got some photos of me actually in the dress. This is just with my spanx on that come up to just under the boobs. I haven't decided if I'm going to wear a bra or not...although the girls aren't really sitting up that high so I may need to get a nice strapless one pronto!

So I picked up my gown from the alterations place yesterday. These are the changes I had them make:
-1 point bustle-Hemming at bottom-Had it taken in about 2 inches in the torso (lost weight)-Had them change the neckline from strapless (pretty much straight across) to sweetheart type neckline
SO the places closes at 5:30, and I work full time and didn't get there yesterday until about 5:15. So needless to say, I was a little rushed.
It did fit a lot better in the torso, the bustle and the hem looked good.
BUT the neckline may be another story. I was envisioning more of a slightly v-shaped sweetheart type of neckline...instead it came out as more of a round dip in the center. Not a total catastrophe I guess but it just really didn't turn out the way I had envisioned.
I didn't get to take any photos last night (fiance was around all night) and I'm at work right now, so I have no pictures to show.
Here's a link to the dress itself (I did not have it altered at DB):

See below for the best rendition I could muster using Microsoft Word. lol This is about what it ended up looking like- basically a round scoop cut out in the middle. Whereas I wanted more of the classic sweetheart neckline where it's in more of a pointed V type shape.
What should I do? The tailor is out today and will be back tomorrow. Should I bring it back and have them work on it again or just "let sleeping dogs lie"??
Ugh, freaking out!
