Show me some art Noveau ring porn. I love that style! But I can’t say that I’ve seen many rings in that style. I’ve got on my great aunt’s ring from 1918, it’s deco but not strongly so.

I would really love to see a genuine art nouveau asymetrical ring wiht flowing lines.

Apparently, the confusion doesn’t just apply to jewelry. Even though my wedding didn’t really have a theme per se (unless it was bourbon, lol) I wanted some Art Nouveau-influenced invitations as that’s always been my favorite style of art. Pretty much evvvverything that came up on Etsy when I did a search for ‘Art Nouveau invitations’ was actually Art Deco and it made me want to rip my hair out. They’re not the same, people! Sheesh. I finally found some gorgeous ones that were exactly what I wanted…except the design was called ‘Gatsby something-or-other.’ Of course it was.
