I was driving back from the post office today when I noticed a young woman waddling down the street eight or nine months pregnant with a cigarette in one hand and a beer in the other. I was stunned! This has been bothering me all day probably because I had spent the morning with a friend who just miscarried for the second time after IVF Would this bother anyone else or am I being to judgemental? F

UGH! I work at a supermarket and the other day I saw a heavily pregnant woman smoking too. DROVE ME NUTS! I was so so close to going up to her and yelling at her…but I can’t really do that, lest I lose my job 🙁

I’m always judgemental about smokers. If they are pregnant then I just judge extra. I get that its addictive, but it was their choice to start and it is well known now that it is terrible for you and everyone around you.

That would drive me totally nuts. I don’t like smoking in general, but I just remind myself that they’re probably only ruining their own health…. but a pregnant mom-to-be is a whole different story!

@secondchances: Maybe she was just holding them for a friend :p

I tend to live and let live, but this is very sad. Both of those actions will have an affect on her unborn baby. I think it is very unfair.

i judge a lot. its a disgusting habit and i dont know why anyone would when they are not only harming themselves and everyone around them but the poor baby inside them. Im also extremly judgemental of parents who smoke when they have small children near, like in the car.

@Pokemon: That always makes me wonder if they smoke inside the house too! You can still smell or inhale secondhand smoke from inside the car, even with the window rolled down.
